This was the first cap I have installed, this thread definitely gave me a heads up of what to expect. I found three things needed to be adjusted to fine tune itās fit.
1. The spacers no doubt play a part, I ended up splitting two spacer in half, stacked them and used that in the rear most...
Wow, Iām in the exact same situation. Let me guess 0-1.5ā shocks? When I ordered back in January the vendorās website said 30 day for the fronts (rear were in stock and shipped right away), when I emailed in February I was told mid April, and this week was told mid June.
I decided to just have...
Both my sons were camping within a month of coming into this world, they are in their twenties now and occasionally they invite us on their adventures. We started out in a ground tent, moved to a pop up trailer, then a hard side trailer, back to ground tents, and now roof top tent. Each has...
I have a 3000 lb travel trailer. When pulling without the WD hitch, the truck bounced and felt light in the front end. With the WD hitch set properly the stability was noticeably improved.
Measurements taken at each wheel from ground to the curve of the fender flare.
No trailer
Front 38 7/8ā...
I ordered from Northridge 4X4 November 17th, paid in full. December 30th got word from FedEx freight it would be delivered January 4th. Looking at the shipping information, it sat with FedEx in my home town the week before Christmas. But going in knowing I shouldn't see it for up to two months...
If you swapped out both the radio and the HVAC controls, youāll need a programmer like a Tazer to get the HVAC controls to function mostly correctly (auto-temp and dual zones donāt work fully).
Teraflex has a 1.5ā spacer leveling kit. It was an easy install. I have the Daystar .75ā for the rear waiting on the shelf, the back dropped a little with the RSI SmartCap.
So stoked with how it looks. Build wasnāt too hard, wish I had more then one helper when it came time to toss it up on the Gladiator. I still have to play around with the spacers to get the rear seal to fit better. Overall super happy.
I got a call from FedEx Freight that my SmartCap will be delivered Monday. Only a month and a half since placing my order with NorthRidge 4X4. Fingers crossed no damage.
Ah, now I see where your mentioned the spacer for the vent in your post.
If I get to the point of mounting a RTT to the RSI I was thinking of fabing up some cross bars similar to Alu-Cabs low profile cross bars to keep everything as low as possible.
first of course the RSI has to ship/show up...
With just adding the lift Iād check torque on all bolts. When Iāve had a clunk in the suspension I usually find either a shock or swaybar link loose.
Mostly touchless, as in I wait for the rain to knock off the dirt. Its a Jeep after all, itās supposed to be dirty. When it has to look shinier I use Rain-X Waterless Car Wash, takes me about ten minutes to wipe it all down.
Disclaimer upfront, Iām trying to keep myself from building up my JT, I still have my JKU that is lifted on 35s for the dirt.
1. LIFT - the lesson I learned with my JK, when it come to a lift the springs and shocks give you the hight. With just those components your geometry will be off, the...
