Rotated the tires and while I had the tires off I figured what the heck I might as well install my 3/4” rear spacer under the spring. Got my slight rake back after the 1.5” front level.
Got the headlights done. The drivers side headlight was REALLY improperly aimed. It was stuck way high and I couldn’t get it to move with the adjustment screw. I remembered reading someone else having the same problem. They said they turned the adjustment screw all the way one way or the other...
I would really look at the 392 swap. I have the diesel and love it. But I found the exact same vehicle as I have but with the 3.6. I test drove it and was like, nope. No way. But as I was waiting for mine I thought of the swap, and the wife was REALLY on board with it. If I ever go away from the...
Well, didn’t get it done tonight. Kinda lost momentum and got a little frustrated with how tight everything is in the engine bay with the diesel. I ended up pulling the fender liners down to get to the turn signal wires. Had to quit while I was ahead!
Started the headlight install tonight. Ran out of time, and started to get a little frustrated with how tight everything is on the diesel. Easier to pull the fender liners down.
There is a weld that can crack inside the door. My wife's JLU has a slight ticking coming from the passenger side. It's the cracked weld in our case.
Is that the kind of noise it is?
1/2” height difference between the front of the slider and the back. I also have a 3/4” spacer for the rear, but I want to drive it for a bit and see how things shake out before I add it.
Tomorrow I’ll attack my new headlights.
Finally nice enough to do something!!
Got the terraflex level put in. Not terribly difficult or anything. The passenger side nut for the bump stop extension was fun! They give you a little wrench, but I also removed the bracket holding the ABS cables and it gave me lots of room.
Also installed...
Seems me and Camaro are putting pictures up in the same threads!! ?
I like the look of the machined wheel like his and yours. I will probably go that way next after I get tired of looking at mine. That could be soon, or years later. Who knows.
The father-in-law was involved in something similar. Pulling a digger truck out of mud with a farm tractor. The attachment point on the digger truck ripped off and the whole thing went flying through the back window of the tractor, taking half the farmers face almost right off. Half his face was...
And the next pieces came in. The 2” mopar lift lower control arms. These will go on with my 1.75” level kit. I’m curious to see how it handles compared to my wife’s JLU when I install her 2” lift with drop brackets.
Yeah I’ll get the rings cut and prop them up with some dowels. Then see how it looks. I don’t have any other equipment in the jeep yet since it’s still winter, so I can’t even test hear them for aiming.
Ok, not much to report, but kinda going stir crazy with a blizzard that just hit us. So, time to see if I can wreck something. Decided to start on the stereo stuff that I can do. Trying to decide on how to position these mids and tweeters without doing a full on pillar build. If I don’t like...
I love the classic 5 spoke/6 spoke look. And the gunmetal is great as well. I’ll be going gunmetal with my son’s black Tacoma. And we have the gunmetal on the wife’s sting grey JLU.
Good choice
