NO, really. When I lift the hood I can hear them sliding around. This all started after I towed my newish 2020 JT Rubicon to Big Bend Country and then spent several days riding on the desert dirt roads. My Jeep was mega dirty when I got home, and It took a full day to get it looking like new...
I was an excellent telephone repairman. With that in mind, it is my opinion that the ball bearings in a Grove have less tolerance to poor setup. My experience (with similar design wheel bearings) is they get noisy when we worn more so than opposing cone shaped roller bearings.
The rear pinion bearing is is not your normal cone shaped roller bearing. It's more of a ball in a groove bearing. Others have had trouble, generally after re-gearing.
This is a perfect route for a weeks worth of fun in the Smokys. All public roads - some are primitive. Very scenic.

Cold air intake - useless
Steering absorber (damper) - stock is OK
Sidestep/rockslide - the electric step is way kool if you need a step to get in the truck.
Lighting - no opinion
Taser mini - I've been studying this one myself. I want to turn off the start/stop, change the tire pressure alarm...
Good photos! North County Road and South County Road are NOT private. They are ...drum roll... county roads. :) The other roads and the surrounding property are private property. The roads are on maps, but the property owners association maintains them. Some of the people who live "out...
Looking south from the "Top of the World"
This is the trailer I was talking about. The story I heard was that it was a hunting camp for one of Carol Shelby's partners and it was brought in with a helicopter. It's near the Top of the World, so there is a lot of bumpy dirt road from...
I routed along the outside of the passenger side frame rail, mostly behind the inner fender and up through the space by the airbox. I didn't have to remove anything to route the cable. I installed the disconnect between the battery and the fender well. I used a piece of 3m tape to secure it...
It sounds like you are close to what I call the "Top of the World". This is just across the ridge from the state park. I love that spot and I love going up Christmas Mountain too. Do you know the story of the rusty mobile home on the way out to the northwest corner of the ranch?
I used they screws above with some M6 washers in the existing holes of the truck bed to attach the small d-rings shown in the second photo. I screwed up when I bought the d-rings because 10 are black, 10 are titanium. The d-rings are strong enough for mule tape or paracord. They are too...
Rock hard has a great reputation. I believe what they are saying. I agree about the motor home hookup. The bolts from the bracket run through the frame horns. The bumper is just a spacer there. I am a Smokys Wheeler. I run some Facebook groups for that...
I sent an email to Rockhard to verify the specs for the steel and aluminum bumpers as shown on the internet. Jason replied that the website numbers are correct. The aluminum bumper is 37 pounds. the steel bumper is 137 pounds, and they are both made out of 1/4" plate.
I bought the steel for the price. Other thoughts included that the paint would stick better on steel , it would be easier to repaint, and it would not gouge like aluminum if I bumped a rock.
FWIW, I think you heard it wrong from Jason about the weight. My bumper did not weigh 100 pounds. I...
I bought a Harbor Freight 12K apex winch. It came with a disconnect that I installed next to the battery. It initially wedged into that spot with no mount. I later added a little 3m tape to anchor it to the side of the truck.
I know not much, but I like machinery. The term "open deck" is new to me, so I used my google fu to learn. I found that the rods in the stock engine are forged.

"An open deck, as the name suggests, is pretty much fully open between the cylinders...
Not a Rugged Ridge guy, but I've been towing for several years. You need a tow bar, a way to connect the tow bar to the vehicle, a brake system, and lights. Putting this together is not cheap.
I use a Ready Brute Elite tow bar with surge brakes. I started with one of these because it was...
