I feel like I cracked the code on this. I took a 67 designs 20mm ball system mated it to a ball mount and then installed 4 bolts through holes drilled in a case to the mount. I already had a case, so the whole mount cost just $18. Super solid over really rough terrain, sleek, and unobtrusive...
I was thinking something like Twin Peaks.
I took my top off one time when I swapped the black textured for a white hard top. I'll take it off again when I get my pop top. I've also used my JL off-road probably more than 95% of the people here. This things are not related at all.
I wave to you JT guys because I can’t tell you’re driving a Jeep boat when all I see is the front. ;)
Just kidding of course. This is highly dependant. I wave at anything that’s nicely built or on a trail. So, if you’re in a city and driving a sport on 27s... I’ll probably only wave if you you...
I could meet you in the middle if not paying to have the tires removed. I know I can get a set for $300 (I actually have one for that price in AZ)... but dealing with family to ship it to me is totally not worth the extra effort :)
Let me know if that works.
Hey Dennis. I’m only looking for the wheels myself, but if you find someone that wants just the tires, let me know. I can work out the details with the other person.
I would also pay to have the tires taken off the wheel if you’d just sell the wheels.
thanks!
Sorry to piggy back on your post, but I figure this could help your sell. I’m looking for a set of JT rubicon wheels for my JL Rubicon in Colorado. If you’re interested in these, I could help make the transaction go more smoothly as I could buy your rubi wheels. Thanks!
