Had a bad blizzard a few days ago, and now we've been hovering around 2ÂşF (sub zero over night) for a few days now. Was going to unload some left over firewood from a camping trip (cut short by the blizzard) today to find my tailgate completely frozen shut. First thought it was locked, but after...
He and Mom are out traveling (in a different rig) but should be back in the next few days. He said he'll shoot me some pictures then.
Apologies on the response delay....
OMG! My apologies. I missed the 7" Uconnect (or more accurately forget that mine was the 8.4")....his wrangler is an 18 i believe (maybe newer, I swear every time I see him he's got a new one)...i'll try to facetime with him later to confirm a few things....
Hmmm. I thought that description was different from what I was seeing.
As you can see, mine uses the full width of the display (so it's actually 7" wide) and leaves room top and bottom for the necessary Jeep controls (actual CarPlay screen size then is 4" tall by 7" wide). For what it's worth...
Could you post a pic of what you are seeing? Also, which version of iOS are you on, which USB are you plugging in to, and are you using a factory Apple cord or an aftermarket one? Sorry so many questions, but may help eliminate issue.
Anyone actually have a pic of the underside of a Gladiator that has had an undercoating from the dealer applied? Living in wet AK I decided to money was a worthwhile investment (wasn’t too expensive...cheap insurance both mentally and actually). Due to some weirdness right at the end, I’m not...
If it's bluetooth connection, try volume on phone itself. After the talking has begun, turn up or down phone volume as needed. The bluetooth often will adapt to it's "output" setting.
Also explains why some complain about music volume being too low, while speakers are turned nearly all the way up.
Planning on modding up something on the 3D printer that (hopefully) can slide in and shield.
@Joker4L, are you pretty sure it's the bottom that is causing the glare? Mine looks more like the top one from my informal testing....see attached photo.
Also, has anyone figured out how to slide the...
I would assume they turn on whenever brakes are applied, but would LOVE visual confirmation from someone. You know what happens when we assume. ;)
The license plate lights blinding the backup camera at night show me that the engineers/designers overlooked a thing or two.
Mine seems aggressive on the braking (ie i frequently cancel it if i notice the car ahead of me slowing to turn as it will brake harder and sooner than I would).
A question I have (and have been meaning to post, but since this is close enough it made sense to put it here instead a new thread)...
gotcha....I haven't really looked...are those lights mainly for lighting up the plate (without the traditional downlight from above)? (and for lighting up the bumper and hitch of course when needed)
I'm thinking that would black it out (not that it is a necessarily bad thing...) - if you do go that route for a test, let us know how it goes.
Anyone know how to pop those covers off?
Glad to know its mainly the bottom one causing the issue...now to find a way to solve it with a little more finish to it. I'm thinking of using some window tint or some ND photo gels....
That glare is exacerbated by a little grime/dirt on the backup camera lens (and that's a daily thing....)...
I’m aware of them, but i thought they were just shy of actual cab height...and that was (I thought) confirmed in an email with JCR...however re-reading their response perhaps we had a miscommunication. I’ll have to follow up with them again...
Just throwing it out there that there must be a way to order it direct from the factory without red dash but not with brown seats. This summer while I was eyeing gladiators at one dealer they showed me a max outfitted Rubi that had just arrived for a customer. First thing I saw was the gray...
I'm planning on the Roofnest (or Tepui Hybox)....how are you currently mounting?
100 times this. I would love that rack (or any roof cab height rack) in the sub 1000 would be nice....the Leitner is nice (and as far as I can tell the only roof height right now) but don't love the drilling for...
