response from JC:
"Hi. The Star Case you provided is the temporary fix/inspection details. We want to assure you that our teams are keeping a close eye on this and anticipate a fix to be released soon. Please stay in touch with your dealer moving forward.

dealer said there is no "fix"... the "fix" is just for them to inspect and make sure nothing is messed up by the bottoming out. There is an update coming first quarter 22...
Same old story, but this response from JeepCares leads me to believe there is an intermittent fix.
perhaps i was unclear, it sounds like they are still working on the real solution...but they have something available for now.
From Jeep Cares:
Hi, Brooks. Internal engineers are still working on a repair for this concern, however, we do have an intermittent fix available that the dealer can...
It does look like Amsoil has an updated label for this oil coming:
Full-SAPS Formula for European gasoline or diesel engines requiring VW 502.00, 505.00, BMW LL-01, Mercedes 229.3, 299.5, FCA MS-12991 & more. This product has a zinc content of 1100 ppm.
Classic ESP Synthetic 5W-40 package...
I have always done my own oil changes, this is the first time i have ever had anyone else change it. The jeep came with 3 free oil changes, so i wanted to try it out until amsoil comes out with an oil with the MS 12991 spec.
The mopar number listed on my receipt is the mopar number for shell...

So Wednesday I called the dealer to confirm that they had the oil meeting the MS 12991 spec and they confirmed they had filter and oil. I dropped it off yesterday morning and when i picked it up, the receipt shows that they used T6... Time to call them back.
So i'm a little confused. From some previous posts the measurement was 4.75" from metal to metal as shown here; EDIT: Scratch that, this measurement is with a Mopar Lift
sounds like stock this measurement from metal to metal is 2-5/8"
But now banana is showing 3.25" metal to metal with the...
i bought a mopar fuel filter and the new style mopar oil filter from rock auto and it was delivered in 2 days. I also just called my dealer in Columbia, SC and they have 8 of the filters in stock and have the 5-40 mopar oil for the Gen 3.
I love my rockblokz but be careful when offroad with them. I had one front one get wrapped under the front tire when it was tucked and it ripped it off and broke the plastic framework inside the fender. I like to have them to keep the mud off on trail rides, but at the same time the trail...
agreed, even with the Teraflex 1.5" spacers on mine AND leaving out the 1" bump stop extension it came with, I still bottom hard as hell when I hit some bumps.
