As a former owner of a 2016 Tacoma TRD Offroad all I can say is word. The 3.5 engine was my biggest complaint on the newer Tacoma's. I had an 08 FJ with the 4.0L great engine. The 3.5 while it did get better mileage had zero power off the line then it would "hit" at about 35-40 mph and then...
I think the Chevrolet Zr2 Bison is a good buy but the truck is just ugly same with the Ranger. Maybe if they made them actually look like their full size counter parts, but the rounded front ends look terrible. Its too bad the Z2 Bison package isn't available on the GMC Canyon much better...
I was thinkin g full size, but I really didn't need a full size truck. I test drove Ford, GM, Ram, Toyota and Nissan. The Toyota was way too dated, the GM interior didn't feel all that great, and I normally am a GM guy. I liked the Ford, Ram and Titan. However, in a world of ever shrinking...
I'd be interested but only if it has the 5.0 v8. Not a fan of turbo out 6 cylinders. I think it would be a good move on Fords end. The Bronco Sport is kind of a flop like Chevrolet Blazer. I think Ford should drop the Sport and offer a Full Size Bronco along with the current regular Bronco...
I think it looks cool, ol fashioned like the old brass plates. I ordered one had it on for a few weeks then decided to put it on the tool box in garage, not keen on it being right on air bag spot :(
I had a friend who had a Wrangler Rubicon and when I ordered my Gladiator he told me make sure you order the LED package as an upgrade, its more money but definitely worth it
My point in wanting a Willy's edition to have a rear locker would be cost. The Mojave your paying Rubicon price for a rear locker and Dukes of Hazard suspension. Which was why when I was looking I went Rubicon at least your getting both lockers and a crawler transfer case. To me a Willys would...
I looked at getting a half ton and was definitely considering F150. Talked to several mechanics and all said go with the 5.0 over the eco-boost. Ford has had them for awhile and has done a great job with getting power out of smaller engines. But having twin turbo's that spin at like 150,000 RPM...
100% Agree. The Willy's would have been perfect with a package that included 33" and a rear locker. Other trucks out there Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road, Ranger, Frontier have rear lockers and Jeep could have made a direct competitor. I love the capability of the Rubicon but truth be told what...
I think a Bronco pickup would be AWESOME. But I want a 5.0 Coyote v8. I get Ford gets power out of Eco boosting little engines, and yes in 2021 you can twin turbo your lawn mower and get 400 hp I just want it from a regular old fashioned v8
I'll stick by my statements that it is a good vehicle, its Honda reliable and it rides great as it should its a CAR. I am sorry but its really not in the same class as the other trucks. If Subaru still made the Baja then it would be a fair comparison.
I have always had Jeeps (Cj's, YJ's TJ) or I have had Toyota trucks Tacoma and FJ. Coming out of the Tacoma I thought really hard about a full size truck. My complaint on the Tacoma is inside I felt cramped, the FJ was wider than the Tacoma, in fact it was perfect balance wider than Tacoma less...
I test drove a Ridgeline several years ago and I'll stand by my statement its a good car based truck. It has Honda advantage in reliability and for someone who just needs a mid size truck with the ability to go to the snow and do some light off roading its great,
However, I like to go into the...
Old thread but I disagree the Ridgeline is NOT a truck. Trucks from F350's 3500 down to Tacoma's, Frontiers all have frames. The Ridgeline has more in common with on old El Camino or Rancharo. It is a great vehicle (not a fan of the looks) its comfortable and drives great like a car it can...
