They're called Quick Fist mounts, they're great for securing things you dont want rolling around in the bed of the truck.

These guys were super helpful answering questions and quick to ship.
Everyone has there own comfort level, and it seems you've done your research so you probably already know the answers to your questions ?
So I will only offer up my experience.
I do not have a MaxTow, so I do run 3.73 gears, I've got about 4200 miles pulling my KZ 181BH under my belt.
In my...
A little wider (spdertrax 1.75), a little taller (Rubi take-offs + TerraFlex 1.5 lvl kit and rear .75 Daystar + Cooper Evolution 285s), nothing crazy. Still rolling on 3.73 gears, so this is where I'll sit for a while. Until I can redo gears and such I'm focusing on the bed upgrades, I put in...
Have to agree with the ppl that said get to know the truck first and figure out what you like to do with it.
There are peripherals tho that I wanted regardless, doorless mirrors, foot pegs, phone mount, weatherproof seat covers, cabcover, and recovery gear. A good cardio for your wallet to...
I live in a safe quiet neighborhood, I've even left my key and wallet on the dash overnight with the windows down and not thought twice. If there's no rain in the forecast I have no problem leaving the truck naked, and if there's a chance of rain I just throw the cab cover on it
14th annual Go Topless day!
If you're in the Metro Detroit area and would like to join the 313 Jeep Club for Go Topless day, we've got over 50 Jeeps showing up at Belle Isle for a phot bomb in front of the fountain, then we're all heading down to Eastern Market for lunch...
I have the Sport S with auto trans and tow pkg. +WDH
We just did over 4100 miles (Michigan to Florida and back) in 31 days with our KZ 181BH, 2950lb dry & 360lb hitch weight, 21ft overall.
Fully loaded (wife, kid, 2dogs, full tank of gas, all the gear, food, clothes, etc.) we rolled the CAT...
Yup, Jeep has like 7 different spring rates for the trucks (dont quote me on the exact # lol), so that's probably the difference. I think your wheels look great, I'd throw some 33s on it and call it good!
Looks great!
Got 1-1/4" in the back and 1-1/8" in the front when I did mine, couldn't be happier with it. Mine is a Sport S, I hear people say the ride on the Overland is pretty nice, not my experience with the Sport. The swap has been the best bang for the buck so far for me, the cost against...
Sport S here.
Added a Rubicon suspension (shocks&springs), then put on some 285/70/17 Cooper Evolution M/T on my stock rims with 1.75" spidertrax spacers. Love the ride quality of the Rubi take-off suspension and it's a better look IMHO.
But I have also been considering going to 4.10 or 4.56...
Maybe its cause yours is a max tow?
When I did mine I figured it was safe to assume the numbers corresponded, and when it was done I wasn't leaning to one side lol, so.. all good!
