Anyone have armorlite and something like a kraken inflation system? Looking for ideas because the wiring for the kraken system goes through the drain hole.
No personal experience with RTTs but 4x4 colorado has more budget friendly tents. Even a pop-up one. https://www.4x4colorado.com/collections/roof-top-tent
After the gatekeeper. I think the trail gets maybe a tiny tiny bit easier. Still ended up winching out of a pretty bad spot where I got myself stuck on 2 points. I gotta say that my rear diff skid has most certainly paid for itself on this trip alone. Now I just regret not getting a front diff...
Gold Mountain wasn't really notable besides the great views; however, John Bull is something else.
The long wheelbase of the gladiator definitely has its advantages and it's disadvantages. John Bull really showed me that the long wheelbase is a coin toss. Some obstacles were trivialized and...
Not a bad idea either, but I still would like the extra clearance with a bumper spacer just so the bolts line up a bit better. Might still drill a hole for a cleaner look though.
Looks like you just made me spend more money next week. Thanks for the heads up. The Evo bumper came with 3 similar plates already, guess I'd just need a 4th.
Just a post if anyone ever wantes to have this combo.
Clearances are very tight.
1. The wires from the control box contact the grill(not an issue if you relocate the control unit).
2. Fairlead offset bracket bolt from Evo needs to be trimmed for the winch to even fit.
3.Winch needs to be...
I ended up going with this one cause I really did like the look of how stubby it was. The frame horn chop sounds scary but was pretty easy once I pulled out the sawzall instead of my angle grinder.
On alldata it's labeled as 0 hours pay to check for power locks and 30 minutes pay to replace. Appointment at 7:30 and they decided to not finish my JT until 530.
I doubt the frames are different, once again just the brackets and location of things would be different. There's no chance a company would make a whole new frame for an engine that gets a small percentage of sales in comparison.
I feel like if you don't care for the emissions stuff you might as well get a Cummins r2.8 with an adapter to the stock transmission. Ditch the emissions stuff if you want to not deal with def fluid or the cost of the equipment. Send it to a custom shop to fab up all the new brackets you need...
I think the main issue swapping to a diesel would be all the emissions equipment. That's going to end up costing a good chunk. Other things would be brackets and other things like the fluid reservoirs. It's going to end up being a lot of custom fabrication to do as well as a significant amount...
I'm torn between the two bumpers as they are both high clearance bumpers that are just a glorified winch plate. Looking for options on either as they both check all the boxes I want and will be the home for my future winch
