My wife had a JL built and delivered in the 2nd quarter. It was great to have the ability to check on the build status via jeep chat.
But honestly, I was a bit surprised on how spotty the information that was told us. It basically went from D1 to F to "reach out to the dealer regarding an...
On a post like this, you may end up getting a lot of back and forth responses...so let contribute. :)
I don't think anyone can really predict the resale value of the sport s vs the rubicon 3-5 years down the road
Someone mentioned the Sport retains a little higher percentage than the Rubicon...
Probably old news, but looks like manuals are making it to dealer lots, see below.

I haven't heard anything too crazy.
I went to go check out an overland yesterday and the sales guy told me that they are selling like hot cakes, which I know isn't true.
Also, he mentioned being the number one volume dealer in TX....why does every sales person use this line! :facepalm...
Second time I saw this video....complete crap. The manual transmission (correct me if I'm wrong, is the same as the JL) is one of the BETTER manual transmissions available. This joker is talking about stalling out, etc...I never stalled out on the Rubicon JL I owned last year. It's unfortunate...
Hi,
The dealerships around me never seem to have both Rubicon and Overland gladiators on their lots. I test drove the Rubicon trim 3 weeks ago and today I test drove an Overland. To me, the Overland seemed a little more composed on the road, not as firm. I'm sure it's probably due the...
Really nothing new, but I think he did a good job outlining the pros/cons. Also, seemed pretty neutral (how often do you see that with a sales person) with his points.
I do disagree with his comment that most people are financially savvy...
I reached out to Neil about a month ago, he would do 6% under invoice for an ordered gladiator.
I've always had great luck with Nyle Maxwell in Austin. Just picked up a JL for my wife which we got for 7% under invoice. I'm sure I could get the same for a gladiator.
For the love...how is Fiat and Alfa still around!
I think it will take a couple more months (if not more) to determine if Gladiator sales are good or bad. It did out sell the Honda Ridgeline...that's something (kinda)....but damn the Rubicon models are pricey.
Thanks for the responses.
That's about right. Sportbikes are around 400-500lbs and the hauler itself is about 75-100lbs.
From what I understand, a gladiator with a manual transmission has lower towing capacity. This probably wouldn't work if I go with a manual transmission, right?
Hi,
Quick question, will this motorcycle hauler work on a gladiator? It can hold a Sport bike up 600lbs. Not sure if gladiator can handle the weight.

Thx :)
In the video he mentioned that the clutch was tricky and he stalled it a few times. He complained about the lack of a dead pedal as well.
I'm guessing the manual in the gladiator is exactly the same as the JL. If that's this case, I COMPLETELY disagree with this guy. I owned a JL with a...
Hello,
Eventually, I'll be buying a rubicon gladiator. Every so often I check to see what the local dealers have on their lot. This beauty caught my attention. MSRP of $59k and they have it listed for close to $70k.

Granted it has...
I would avoid Boerne Jeep in TX. They get you in by stating they have the best prices in a 500 mile radius. They forget to include the dealer add-ons which are usually $2k+.
They had wheel locks for $250, the cheapest running boards imaginable listed for $1,000, etc.
Many manufacturers start with high MSRP, followed by the big discounts game...."$12k under msrp", "save 20% off of msrp". I wonder if the gladiator will see any of this. Yes, I know it's still too early and they aren't manufactured in the same quantity...but you never know ;)
I'm thinking of...
