Is anyone running steer smarts flipped drag link and relocation bracket with the Pro-X? Are they needed or is under the knuckle perfectly fine? I plan to run the Yeti tie rod, drag link with griffin, and track bar along with the relocation bracket accordingly.
I believe the Clayton Premium kit is more of a direct competitor to the Metalcloak Gamechanger lift. The Clayton Overland Plus uses maintenance free Giiro Joints at both ends of the arms similar to Metalcloaks but only offers 50 degrees of misalignment compared to Metalcloaks 68 degrees. To get...
I was not aware of that! I purchased my setup when the griffin drag link was first released and at the time there wasn't a warning. I really appreciate the info! Your JT is one of the nicest I've seen to date!
Are you having any contact issues with your Steer Smarts front end? I've been running the same setup on my JK and went to purchase it for my JT and now there's a warning not to use the bracket and flipped draglink for fear of contact issues when running the GC lift.
I literally just spoke to Metalcloak on the phone and they said there is a 1" rake. I think the higher fenders on the Rubicons are causing the illusion the fronts sitting higher.
I always thought this too. Dave corrected this misconception and said they don't have a close relationship with FCA like everyone seems to think. There is a past Chrysler engineer that works for him but that was many years ago.
Really disappointed in this. AEV stated in a video that they were shocked with multiple design choices made by the Jeep engineers. They said the stock suspension is very lacking, too soft, and caused thumping in the cabin that should not be happening. They then turnaround and release this with...
The key is meant to stay on you. I keep it separate from my main keyring so it's always in my pocket. I keep my house key on it as well so I always have access to my truck and house regardless. I've driven vehicles with this style key since 2007 and its just something you get use to. People who...
While I wouldn't call it a clunk, I notice the transmission will down shift much harder when decelerating quicker than usual. There were a few times when I had to quickly slow and each time it did the same thing.
I have a MC lift on my JK so Im fully aware of the benefits the Game Changer lift provides. Their arms are more like tubes since technically there hollow unlike RK which are actually solid.
The 4 link removes both cross talk and suspension bind. It's cool you don't see the value in that but...
It appears you aren't understanding how a Triangulated 4 Link works. There is no need for a rear track bar as the upper control arms are attached to the cradle that's bolted/welded to the center of the axle (forming a triangle). They center the axle side to side completely eliminating the need...
I've seen multiple aftermarket manufacturers make this same statement while explaining their lifts for the JT. AEV in the Way-a-life video was very direct going as far as saying they were shocked with some of Jeeps design choices. Having built the Brute for many years I would lean towards taking...
There's no question MC joints are some of the best, if not the best, all around joints out there. While they offer many benefits MC has not said how their lift impacts the truck overall. There's no mention of expected rake, impact on capacities, etc.
As for the RK Triangulated 4 Link rear end...
