Buy some braided fishing line and you should not have any breakage. Tie a piece between the dowels as shown and you are ready to go. Use a hair dryer on the emblem and surrounding area until warm to the touch.
I believe you will be set. Not to muddy the water, you may want to look at a set of Gorilla locking lugs to prevent theft. They are pricey but are cheaper than wheels and tires. Good luck!
I have the stock Rubicon wheels with 35 inch tires, 1 inch Teraflex leveling puck in the front and a 3/4 Daystar puck in the rear and I have no rubbing.
