While I haven't driven that road, I've taken my Gladiator and an XJ on a lot of trails around Colorado. If you can't do shelf roads, you can't do the Rockies. Sure, some trails have more shelf areas than others, but it's pretty much a given there's going to be a shelf section somewhere.
I've...
OK, bit of a derail here, but that's not what happened. What happened was mortgage brokers were selling mortgages to people who couldn't possibly pay them. Then those mortgages were sold as investments bundled with low-risk mortgages with the assumption it would all work out. It didn't. All...
JD Power ratings are useless. I got my JD Power survey about 9 days after I purchased my Jeep. What kind of problems did I have at that time? Yeah, exactly.
What makes you say that? When I look at the Jeep web site for my area, there are no rebates for the Gladiator. There is a 0% financing offer, but no manufacturer discount.
And it's not like dealers are discounting anything with a pickup bed. They're still getting MSRP or over MSRP for trucks...
I'm still very happy with the Rebel Off Road rack. I have tied many things to it when I'm hauling with my Gladiator. Whenever I camp there's invariably a torrential downpour in the middle of the night. It sure is nice being way up high in the roof top tent not having to worry about flooding. :)
You greatly misunderstand me. I've been a Rush fan since the 70s. I read the story which inspired Neil Peart to write "Red Barchetta". Just didn't know if you were speaking from that position. :-)
Restricted corridors? Geo-fencing? I'm very well informed and I have heard absolutely nothing about this.
I can promote a conspiracy theory that the government is working with space aliens to take away our driving privileges, but no matter how much the people who follow my YouTube channel...
Well, yeah. Of course wind and solar are "sometimey". That's why we need other energy sources. Nobody is arguing otherwise.
There are 1,793 natural gas power plants in the US.
There were 241 coal fired power plants in 2019. Likely, some of those have likely been shut down since.
I remember when Chevrolet offered the Beretta, Lumina and Corsica. They appeared to be the same car with different badges. Never could figure that out. But everyone I knew who drove a Chevrolet back than learned to despise the Bowtie. Those cars took only a brief pause between the assembly line...
I recently watched a live discussion among off-road YouTubers. The subject turned to the different vehicles people used. Eventually, someone said, "Why isn't there much of an aftermarket for the Chevy Colorado?". At this everyone else laughed. They mentioned the abysmal quality of 21st century...
I hear that saying a lot, but man is it untrue. Sure dealers make money off repairs; lots of money. But they also make a lot of money selling cars. And they make a lot of money from financing, gap insurance, credit life, paint protection, fabric protection, Invisi-Bra, extended warranties...
That's an overly negative impression. Renewable energy is a small part of the American power grid, but it is a part of it and it's growing. Also, if you charge an EV from a natural gas power plant, that produces much less carbon than filling the tank with gasoline or diesel. If the power plant...
I have a friend who was telling me her brother works for a company developing electric semi trucks in Arizona. It's still in early stages. They're used only for local routes.
No state government is considering banning diesel powered semi trucks. Everything would come to a screeching halt.
