I have thought of that, I am trying to be patient and reasonable with them to give them fair chance but if it is not fixed after this visit then I am going to speak with their top manager and if I have to I will get lemon law involved.
Another point I would like to make is why the techs at the dealer have not talked to an engineer or advisor from jeep about these repeat problems? I work for Toyota and we have a tech line where if we have a persistent problem with a customer's car we can contact an engineer and get them involved.
The problem is I want a jeep but this gladiator has not been very reliable, 4runners are reliable but also boring. I just want a properly functioning jeep that I paid a ton of my hard earned money for. In my opinion stellantis needs to own up to their mistake and make this right if the techs...
Well I had a jl 2 door before this that didn't have any of these issues, I think the sold me a defective lemon which depresses me as hell, I have cancer and this truck was supposed to be our fun adventure vehicle so I could put stuff in the back and try to enjoy what life I have left but it has...
Well I hate to post this thread but my patience has run thin with my new Gladiator. I have a 2021 gladiator sport s automatic with the 3.6 for about 8 months with 3500 miles and have had numerous problems. The first problem was a bent exhaust flange that was fixed and also a leaking left rear...
When I had my JK with the 3.8 push rod v6 (the slow engine) I tried putting on a CAI and it had no improvement to acceleration or performance, just made the intake sound louder. I actually think the jeep engines perform better with the factory filter, but that's just my opinion based on my butt...
Once in a while I notice a brief faint "tick, tick, tick" on startup then immediately goes away, I thought it was the lifters trying to pump up with oil pressure but the head tech at my jeep dealer told me he thinks it's the timing chain tensioners pumping up as they use oil pressure as well. He...
Thanks for everyone's input, I didn't really think there was an issue but it is better to check and make sure things are working properly and not let a potential problem grow into something worse.
That repair is for failing rocker arms and lifters, if that was the case you will hear a louder clacking type noise from the valve covers. Also the new JL and JT uses a new two stage rocker arms on the intake valves to have variable valve lift. The ticking I'm hearing is coming from the left...
The only thing I can think of is the way the exhaust is designed is causing exhaust gases to pulse through the EGR cooler making it do a slight ticking noise. I spoke with the head tech at the dealer and he confirmed my theory, he said the hemi engines do something similar because of the exhaust...
I have a new 2021 gladiator with 1700 miles, I've noticed at operating temp at idle there is a faint pulsing ticking noise coming from under the truck on the left side, you can hear it if you stick your head in the fender well. Using a stethoscope I found that the ticking is loudest at the left...
