I am about to put Mojave shocks on my rubicon. I’ll mount them on the side like this pic. I don’t know if I would move them if I had a stock Mojave, but I won’t have any of the brackets and let’s be honest, it looks cool mounted vertically.
I’m sorry for your loss. Losing a good dog is something that hits you in a place that unlike anything else. That connection unique. Charlie has been riding shotgun with me since I bought the scout. He was there for the entire build and riding in the scout was his favorite thing in the world...
I do everything myself. Dealerships are for buyin not buildin. I am so used to building everything myself from when I had the scout and had to build everything (mainly because I’m cheap) but it’s hard for me to buy a bracket when I have a welder.
? no instructions and bolt holes may not align...
ok here are your instructions if it doesn’t come with any (or if it does).
1. Remove old bumper
2. Throw away instructions if it has any
3. Install new bumper
4. If holes don’t align, use dewalt 20v hole expander (sold separately)

Drove a lifted rubicon first and was not impressed. Then drove a stock Mojave and was blown away. Loved the float of the suspension. Then I went with a rubicon. The other benefits of the rubicon outweighed the softer Mojave. Also I knew I would be changing everything if I bought something...
Thanks man. 2 years of hard work. Did everything myself. It was falling apart completely stock when I bought it. It now is up in the hamptons where a rich fella uses it to haul is surfboards 3 blocks to the beach.
I know they are advertising the Mojave as sitting 1" higher with the stock mojave suspension, but when you look at shocks for the rubicon and the Mojave, the Mojave is actually shorter. Maybe the shock perches are higher on the bottom?
"In addition, the Jeep Gladiator Mojave has a 1” front...
Have you checked if the Mojave shocks are rebuildable? I always look at replacement as a chance to upgrade. Even if you bought a rubicon, you will most likely get the bug and be replacing shocks sooner than they are needing replacing.
I was so happy to find my Gladiator with cloth seats. All the others I had been looking at had leather. Most of my Jeeps have had leather and I end up either buying covers or keeping a bunch of huge beach towels. My top is off unless its raining (and even then sometimes:rock:) and the Texas...
I have a rubicon but like the Mojave hood. I think it’s because I have had 4 jeeps now with that same hood. But I remember when I bought my 2013 jku 10a, man that hood was the tits. I was blown away by the bumper and how the hood looked while driving. It was such a big change.
I know this is an old thread but I was reading because I’m probably about to add Mojave fox shocks to my Rubicon. I did the same thing by accident when I was installing my control arm relocation brackets at midnight by myself lol. I took a ratchet strap, hooked one end to the axle, one back to...
