What a pain it can be to track down these issues. Sometimes going to different shops just add to the confusion. They all claim it was caused by the previous shop. It could be something as simple as one tire with a broken belt. I replaced my tires on wife's FJ with BFG ko2 and couldn't get them...
Looks like it will work for daily driving. There's no a great place for phone mounts without going to one of the bulky mounts. I use the car mount . It's similar to this one and I have it in the same area as you.
I installed my Badlands Apex winch today. I'm not very familiar with using a winch so my initial question is? I installed a power switch and have it shutoff while not in use but do I have the engage switch in free spool or engage position while not using (Driving)?
I read several posts on this forum and a couple videos prior to beginning. Several key points that I picked up from those sources made things easier.
1. I re routed the power cord through the side of box, definitely would not had clearance against the jeep grill or bumper at front of the winch...
Today I took advantage of the warm weather and installed my Amazon steel bumper with winch guard and Badlands Apex winch. Busted knuckles and busted nose but self installed.
While I was at the bank drive through today had another stingray Rubicon pull up beside me. Not the best picture due to heavy rain and dark conditions under drive through. We shared build ideas and gas mileage. He was still stock and I have started modding. Friendly experience.
I agree with the previous answer's,I added heated seats to my wife's FJ several years ago and mounted the switches in the console area. She loves them and have had no issues with them. Removing and replacing the seat covers are the toughest part but very doable.
