Service tech called this afternoon to tell me that they are waiting on a part to complete the two recalls and that they are going with the camshaft being toast but that he has customers who have been waiting months. When they finish the recall work I have no idea if they will be releasing it...

I was joking about pushing it, but yeah I signed off on the diagnostic. It is what it is. My FIL is retired from GM and he’s getting a lot of great employee incentives, so once the cam is replaced, I may be bailing.

Just ran my VIN and I am under the recall. I bought back at the end of August and have over 11k miles on it already. So far no issues, but I’ll be watching for the remedy and getting it taken care of once they have it figured out.

Anyone have an aftermarket solution. Mine broke today. Pulled the plastic piece out of the hole for the electrical and couldn’t believe how flimsy. Brand new truck that I picked up in September of 2022.
