  1. SiriusXM Guardian is Crazy

One minute is not reasonable. That is proven by the fact that the Viper was a bit faster, and the Tesla is almost instant. So proof that it doesn't have to be shitty. The minute alone isn't the worst part. It's that you have to wait a minute or two, then go back and look at the app, and see...
  2. SiriusXM Guardian is Crazy

Not at all. I have no brand loyalties. I don't even actually own a Jeep at all right now. I might again. I've owned more Fords than Jeeps, and come from a "Ford family" and the types of people who would claim they are better. Burying the cost of remote control in the cost of a vehicle or...
  3. SiriusXM Guardian is Crazy

Since Fords are so much better than Jeeps, we really should follow what they do.
  4. SiriusXM Guardian is Crazy

Seriously, scared the CRAP out of me, because I thought it would be like the Jeep. And I hate that the Jeep cancels after two seconds, but at least it stops. The Tesla is just always on (assuming I didn't cancel manually).
  5. SiriusXM Guardian is Crazy

You shouldn't force people to pay for things they don't need. Choice is good. This discussion is going on right now on the Tesla forums because they stopped including the mobile charge cord. Few people used it. So if you need it pay, don't penalize the people who don't want it. Nothing Ford...
  6. SiriusXM Guardian is Crazy

Toyota is so lame all around. I've driven three different Toyotas in the past year or so, and I'm shocked at what crap they are. The electronics are a bad joke. The braking, annoying, and the steering is downright 90s junk. The adaptive cruise on a 2021 TRD... I'm not exaggerating: TURNS...
  7. SiriusXM Guardian is Crazy

Ford builds in that cost into the cost of the vehicle you say? Also, why is that relevant on a GLADIATOR forum?
  8. SiriusXM Guardian is Crazy

I got a $120/year deal for the useful remote features without the useless trash like concierge, or the radio service. Remote start, vehicle status, unlock/lock, remote alarm, location, theft. I just had to call in and tell them that's what I wanted...
  9. SiriusXM Guardian, is it Worth Renewing?!

A friend of mine is a network manager for a cell carrier, and he says something like 90% of phones never leave coverage. For you and me, there are services like inReach and Spot. I use a Garmin 700i for wheeling, dirt biking, and boating. Most wheeling in AZ involves a bunch of time off cell...
  10. SiriusXM Guardian, is it Worth Renewing?!

Sirius Guardian is run by AT&T and is on their network. It does not work via satellite. You still need your inReach. Also Guardian doesn't do any messaging at all. If you buy the premium version ($$$$) then you can call the help line...over the AT&T network, not satellite.
  11. SiriusXM Guardian, is it Worth Renewing?!

I made a post a while back on ordering just the parts I wanted, at about $120/year. Because officially they want to force you into a package. I only want remote start, door locks, and alarm.
  12. How long have you owned your Gladiator? Still Love it?

I have motorcycles and high-speed E bikes for that. So yes, as much fun for me.
  13. How long have you owned your Gladiator? Still Love it?

    Plasma, I'm not an amateur.
  14. How long have you owned your Gladiator? Still Love it?

81, I'm taking the doors and top off the Tesla.
  15. How long have you owned your Gladiator? Still Love it?

The first time you rocket from 0-60 in ludicrous speed, with zero sound, or weirdness, or anything--just rocket, everything changes. It's actually disruptive to most people's brains and guts.
  16. How long have you owned your Gladiator? Still Love it?

Believe me, I never expected it. The Tesla was simply a replacement for the wife's car, and I was just happy to be out from under the cost threat of a ten year old high-performance BMW convertible. It was just going to be her car. I loved my truck. Would never give up my truck. And then it...
  17. How long have you owned your Gladiator? Still Love it?

The long term costs are another advantage; crazy low repair and maintenance. No oil changes, no fluids really, no plugs or wires or ... well, you get it. Oh yeah, no brakes, because you never use them, the motors regenerate power and you drive with one single pedal. I hate that part of ICE...
  18. How long have you owned your Gladiator? Still Love it?

LOL, you should look into fixing your time machine, since you are recycling April 1 jokes.
  19. How long have you owned your Gladiator? Still Love it?

My VW build photos must be in an old family album or--get this--a cassette of Kodachrome slides. That's what my dad and I preferred. There's a pile somewhere to go through. But picture it...teenager's first car. We had bought it when I was probably about 9, and turned it into a camper van...
