When I was racing dirt track street stock cars years ago we would run them a quart over full right off from the start. The theory was that when you made the hard left turn at speed and your oil walked up the right side of your crankcase you would have a little extra oil in the pan to keep your...
Some engines take a good long while for the oil to drain back. Cummins, anyone? The point with checking the oil first thing was to make sure you started your day, in the field or on the road, with a full crankcase. Most farm equipment and trucks where I grew up would burn a couple of quarts or...
The way I was taught is to pull the stick and check the oil first thing in the morning when the engine was dead cold and the oil had all night to run back down.
Use your trip odometer to hand calculate. The big average meter on the range/current gauge will screw up your hand calculations, especially if your last tank was towing or climbing mountains, etc.
BlackRuby23, they are designed to have that air space in the tank after fill- up. Don’t top it...

Somebody posted something like that in the last week or two. I think they mounted their connector in a hole they cut in the fake vent in their right fender flare.
I was being facetious… my point is that I would prefer it to be in writing somewhere in their literature that a 2023 Sport S with the tow package is rated at 6000 pounds.
My owner's manual for my 2023 Sport S Willys w/tow package doesn't have a separate listing for the weight rating. It just lists 4500# for a Sport S automatic. I bought it after reading that it was rated for 6000#, probably from you posting the page in your owner's manual for 2022. Not blaming...
Do you have a 2022? If it says 6000 pounds in your owner's manual I'd go with that. I bought a '23 Willys Sport S after following one of these capacity threads thinking I could tow 6000#s and, once I had my shiny new owner's manual in my hands, found out that they dropped the towing capacity...
