I just put the mopar on and it gave me 3”. I think the mopar plus a trackbar and a spacer if you like will get you the height you need and be a decent setup.
Everything else, from fancier shocks, better springs, adjustable arms etc, can all be picked and chosen from to build off later (rock...
Got my Mopar lift in and installed!
And 33” tires are just fine. I was “scared” they were gonna look dinky. They look fine.
Added a 3/4” spacer to the rear to make up for the added weight. Kept the rear just up enough to maintain some of the rake.
Now I need to get it out of the shop and onto...
So far so good!
A few claw marks on the back and a few more ketchup stains from drive throughs, but otherwise, very happy.
Just a quick pic of the current state. Havent given em a good clean in a while. They clean pretty easily and nicely with just a little interior cleaner and some 303.
I’ve...

OvErLAnDiNG (with a Rav4 and selfie stick)
I laugh, but also, welcome OvErLAnDiNG crowds as they mostly stick to the spots I don’t go, and grew the industry and associated gear in a big way. Ensuring I, the elitist, gentleman Overlander, can have at my...
AFE Y-Pipe installed, some fresh oil and a cleaned air filter.
Put almost 3k miles on in the past couple weeks. And beat on it for many of them. So figured I could do something nice.
You really don’t want to go after the first click off. It bothers the hell out of Evap. Its not a one and done thing, but if its a habit, it will lead to earlier failures of that component because it “burps” the expanding fuel not just the vapors. And a clogged evap just triggers the pump to...
Yeah, i have a manual. So theres no added crossbar across. I ordered up a new Ypipe to replace the damaged one, and got Quadratecs aluminum skid on its way to cover up that area.
Definitely the oil pan/transmission skid.
It’s supremely vulnerable and soft. The shocks and diffs are all really solid steel so can take a glancing blow. But the oil pan and Y pipe are soft and don’t take much to deform.
The day has arrived!
Picked up from Montana and got home and added a basic awning, Gzilla rain fly poles, and what were the tube cross bar mounts, turned them into hooks for attaching hammocks to.
Also gutted and cleaned the gear bags and bins to make more room. All in all, couldn’t be more...
I stretched its tank. “Low” miles is a new one! Showed up when it counted down less than 10. And the fillup immediately after that came on was 19.3gal.
So a small reserve, and did track nicely when I started the tank and counting it. Good to know as it’s a pretty responsive display right down...
I also went KC here. The SlimLites and their gravity fogs are a solid “value” for the cost.
I too was balking at the price, but looking at a reputable maker, I found Hella made some LEDs from their “ValueFit” line. And we’re about 1/4 the cost of the SlimLites. However, the light output was 1/4...
Well, it would probably be a smaller thread so tossing our his and his Jeeps here. ?
I drive his JKU, but he isn’t a fan of the 6MT in the glad, so only I drive my JT.
Put it back together. Got hit on the trail, she was running down the middle of the road blind in her friends dust cloud. I saw her headlight square to mine, but she swerved enough that I clipped her rear. She’s balking and said that it was my fault. I was driving the shoulder until it cleared...
