Are you looking at a Defender type plow, or Fisher's version, or more of a midweight plow? I think the Defender will more than handle driveway plowing. Mine only drops about 1.5 inches. Timbren makes an active off-road bumpstop for the front end of a Gladiator and with additional spacers might...
i adjusted the quill this morning. When i first lowered the plow in my garage, i thought it was going to break the concrete floor - it dropped like a stone! I mounted the plow again, and backed it out onto the driveway. The hardest part was removing, and replacing, the hydraulic cover. i turned...
Nice rig, nice plow, it looks good with the 35s! I think the Gladiators look so much better with 35s, but then i'd have other things to contend with - my wife has a hard time getting in with 33s. :) Did you add air boots or stiffen up the front suspension to deal with a heavier plow?
i would...
:) I'll remove the 2 receivers when i'm done plowing, it's only 2 pins each side and they do stick out a little. i dont do any off-roading, but i will gain some ground clearance and the crossmember will look cleaner tucked in underneath
The first page in quick match does say that, but fill in what you can and keep clicking "next". i bought the 7'2" Defender. The last box shows the part numbers
Here are some pics of my plow. This is plenty of plow for me since i only do a few driveways. I'm happy with the installation. The dealer did not know the weight of the undercarriage, but he said well under 100lbs
Stock wheel well height - 37 7/8"
Plus undercarriage - 37 5/8"*
With plow - 36...
Thank you Bbannon, i'll get the S! I dont want it too loud, just want to hear that bub, bub, bub when im engine breaking/downshifting and that rasp when i shift! i have a hard time distinguishing sounds on the videos
I had a cat-back on my TJ, but forgot which make/version, just that the advertisement stated it was street legal in all 50 states.
I'm thinking about the Borla Touring and S. Does anyone think the S is too loud?
That is a good idea, but i do not know of a truck scale in my area. That 297lbs might be for the complete plow assembly. I will ask the dealer when it is installed
Yes, i will take pics, especially the undercarriage and i plan to take measurements of the drop with/without the undercarriage /plow. So far i cannot find the weight of the complete system, but the blade weighs 297lbs
i had a Meyers plow on my TJ for 25 years. i had replaced almost every part pump/plow, so i got to know the dealer. Last summer ('21), when my wife and i were talking about getting a Gladiator, i went to the dealer to ask if Meyer had a plow that would fit - they said yes.
So, in October, when...
I too feel blessed. I also had my Prius before my Gladiator, and at first glance, they seem like an odd couple. Actually, this is my second Prius, which had over 300K miles on it before i traded it in for a new one. It's a perfect commuter car. The Gladiator will be more of a work Truck, I'm...
I'm only ~200 miles into my Gladiator, but im loving everything about it! The moment i sat in the front seat, i knew this was going to be my next Jeep. I haven't had a Jeep/truck since my '97 TJ so i do not know if this is common now, but i was impressed that all the bolts underneath are...
I know my "build" will be very modest than most here, but i did add a leveling kit last weekend and had new 285/70 KO2s mounted yesterday. I'm waiting for my Western plow to arrive sometime in January. After that, I'll add Truetracs front and rear then hopefully a cat-back exhaust
i did it myself. The jack that came with the Gladiator did not raise the vehicle high enough to get my jack stands under the frame. I had to put some short pieces of 2x12s under the jack to raise it high enough
Hi, sorry Shawn it took so long for the pics of the 1.5" Teraflex installed. Its been raining a lot and even started to snow when i was taking theses pic
