Perfect -- I'll take a Sport (not the S) with automatic ($2,000) + hard top ($1,195) + Gobi + tan interior...using 5JeepAZ's base MSRP of $32,770, then my sticker price is just a tad under $36K...
Why can Jeep just release a price range ($xx,xxx -- $xx,xxx) for each of the 4 models, to get an idea if I'm priced out of market...
Not that I don't believe 5JeepsAZ Sport base price of $32,770........
Check out my 2011 JK Sport S -- rockin' Rubi takeoffs with no lift/rubbing = bought them from a WranglerForum member the day he took delivery (3 miles on his odometer)...best $600 I've spent on Blondie
How much "extra" capacity is available at the Toledo facility(ies)? Meaning, could Jeep actually crank out 100K/150K/200K Jeep Gladiators if they wanted?
+1 with Vegas -- installing painted-black Sahara fender flares on it looks bad...is it (Gator) so late availability that Jeep couldn't mount Gator painted flares?
Take a look at Apple right now -- their iPhones started out (not that long ago) at a much lower purchase price...with this last update/release, their unit sales have tanked, all because their current entry price for a phone is now $x,xxx.
Pretty much my position as well -- if Jeep doesn't release MSRP pricing by the end of March, then I'm moving on to something else (stripped down Raptor...)
Smlobx -- I'm assuming you also attended a Ranger Drive (the one in Houston was right before Christmas)...we had excellent Houston winter weather, but the attendance was/seemed really low to me...
Anyhow, I (along with a Ford Rep) jumped into the only XLT interior (all the trucks were 4x4)...
MonstaLiner is a type of rough bedliner that comes in black, but can be cheaply tinted to color match — that is what I did for my Sahara Tan...
I first removed all flares, sanded them down some and then rolled on the coating and then reinstalled (everything in one day)
Steffen707 // 5JeepsAZ -- take a look at Blondie's picture in my avatar/Garage...
That was the day I "DIY-painted" my fender flares with tintable MonstaLiner...I think I used a full gallon on all 4 fender flares.
If that is Jeep's plan/intention (not to compete with other 'mid-size trucks on price) = dumb business model, both short-term and long-term...
Since Jeep's free cash flow subsidizes all 3 other Fiat's U.S. brands (Dodge, Ram, Chrysler) the theory would be to maximize profit velocity by volume...
My JK Sport had black plastic fenders that faded (in the Houston heat) within 12 months of ownership -- I then "Line-X"ed them with body-colored material, and they've lasted for over 7 years now...my front and rear stock bumper covers have faded as well, but I don't care about them as much
I...
Misanthrope -- Agree wholeheartedly with your above response about my Raptor comment...
I'm merely suggesting that Jeep take advantage (with their pricing matrix) of being the one mid-sizer that could truly cause Tacoma to quiver...if the JT Rubicon is priced close to the highest trim Tacoma...
