  1. Fuse Pull Technique May Help Fix Some Steering Issues

Seriously though. Could it be a cavitation issue? Fluid viscosity? Ambient temperature? Fluid reservoir level? Air pockets? The engine mounted PS pumps changed rpm with the engine. Is the electric pump constant velocity/pressure?
  2. Fuse Pull Technique May Help Fix Some Steering Issues

I find that a canister of unicorn pharts plumbed to the CAI increases power by 200%.
  3. Switching gears - long 4th gear

The listing of the individual gearing ratios is a way of visualizing the engine crankshaft/transmission input shaft rotation compared to the transmission output shaft/driveshaft rotation. The first gear ratio of 4.71 means for every turn of the output shaft, the engine crankshaft revolves 4.71...
  4. S&B Air Intake Hood Scoops For Gladiator Rubicon

Pretty useless in any country, IMO. In the motorcycle world these are farkles. Dress up items with no useful purpose. Eye candy. They will sell like hotcakes nonetheless.
  5. Jeep Gladiator Ram Truck Power Inverter put to the test and install notes

Is the wave form a true sine or square? Delicate electronics want to know.
  6. Correct PSI for Ridge Grapplers

Did you verify equal pressure with a mechanical gauge? The wife's Cherokee had a leaky left front tire and a 10psi difference caused a very determined pull to the left. It was worse when the brakes were applied. Are the balance dots aligned correctly. Shops around here I have tried do not know...
  7. Will this motorcycle hauler work on a Gladiator?

Nice looking Z! I want one of them but the wife would never let me hear the end of it. (5 bikes in the shed now) So how does it go? My first Kawi was a 400cc two stroke triple in '75, then a GPz550 "81 and a GPz 1100. Also 81.
  8. Correct PSI for Ridge Grapplers

Not trying to cause insomnia but were the wheels reinstalled correctly? From personal experience working at various shops, most of the folks spinning spanners are nothing more than parts changers who run their air tools at max pressure without using a torque sensitive wheel nut tool. You may...
  9. S&B Air Intake Hood Scoops For Gladiator Rubicon

Quadratech has an induction hood with a rear facing opening with a raised lip at the lower edge that prevents rain from entering. Paint to match. My YJ had the rear facing scoop for the cabin air vent at the base of the windshield where there is positive pressure. Very effective. Facing...
  10. S&B Air Intake Hood Scoops For Gladiator Rubicon

To my eye, these look nice and certainly appear to be well made but I ask about the actual effectiveness when at speed. There is a negative pressure area there being that far back on the hood. It makes more sense to have the opening facing the windshield to aid in the extraction of hot air at...
  11. 2020 Gladiator Mojave Review: For most buyers, the Mojave will make more sense than the Rubicon [Autoblog]

If you are coming off a rack and pinion equipped vehicle, you will notice the difference from a recirculating ball type. Rack and Pinion is not as robust and offers less wheel turning range. The RB system was chosen for a reason. Glad the Trailbreaker was never designed to be a spots car.
  12. Jeep did a great job on this truck

I have read many posts from the net about the steering being vague or wandering . It is my understanding that a recirculating ball system is much stronger and offers more steering travel than a rack and pinion. Please Jeep, don't go changin' what works.
  13. Auto Park disabled (previously: Door Open alert - Remote Start Canceled)

Definitely not trying to disparage any one. I have spent almost 50 years towing and launching up to 20 ft fishers and runabouts with a Pinto wagon, F150, Galaxy 500 etc. I cannot recall ever needing to back up or pull forward with an open door. Wifey says I can "back a snake up a garden hose"...
  14. 2021 Gladiator High Altitude Thoughts?

    Not my style. Poser Bait.
  15. Can we Disable the auto stop start?

I learned to drive partly by watching pop. When I asked him why, he said it reduced the starting loads on the engine and electrical system. I learned to repair USAF electronics in the vacuum tube era.(ARC27/34) Kind of like keying the transmitter before applying input power. Zap crackle and pop...
  16. Can we Disable the auto stop start?

Good on ya for finding a solution to your problem. go with what works.
  17. Can we Disable the auto stop start?

My take? I ride motorcycles. A lot. My 5 are a mix of drive systems and engine configurations. Some 6 speed, some 5 and one 4. A reversed shift pattern and on the right for that one as well. Startup is the same for all-Fuel, ignition, neutral, engine cut off switch, choke/clutch and scan the...
  18. 2019 engine knock jeep gladiator

I have overhauled dozens of engines and would recommend Chevron Techron every oil change. 1 oz./gal. Best to do that tank around town with periods of shutdown. Steady highway cruising does not allow the cleaner time to sit and soak into the deposits that build up. Lucas fuel system cleaner works...
  19. We’re Digging This Comanche and Scrambler Inspired Retro Gladiator Look

Back when they were new, the blue Honcho was my Kryptonite.
  20. Rear window

Last week I had the windshield in the F150 replaced, at home, 180 clams. Safelite was over 300. USAF veteran company bonded licensed and insured. 1000 for the rear? Ouch.
