Catalytic converter theft is starting to be a problem here in Iowa. Videos show the thieves using portable jacks and cordless tools on normal cars, then running.
I hated the look of the H/T tires on the overland. Had them mount the optional A/T Bridgestones when I bought it, and haven't been disappointed. They work well on the road and in the snow. No off road yet.
The snap-in hold down on the driver side front floor mat in my JTO came up missing. I don't know where it went. I E-mailed Weathertech and asked for a new snap assy. They sent a set of new front mats! That is what I call customer service. Good Job Weathertech!!!
I sold my 05 Ram (in perfect shape) and bought an Overland. The Ram wasn't as much fun to drive , park, or gas up. The only thing I miss from the Ram is that Hemi engine. The Jeep is much more fun to drive and park. No rattles and no room problems. I have had it since January and love it...
I went back to my install guy and he called AMP again. This time he got another tech and he gave instructions on how to install the override switch. Guess it's all in who you talk to! By the way, I had the whole thing Line-Xed and it looks good and is protected more.
According to my install guy, AMP does not have the manual switch for the XL steps. He said they could wire a switch into the wiring to do the job. I am not sure of the warranty after this. Still thinking.
I have just over 1800 miles, bought the first part of January. Only problem is that I can't stop buying stuff for it. Maybe I am just one of the lucky ones!
Here is my Overland so far. Front and rear Westin bumper and Bridgestone tires. Tires were options l from the dealer. No lift planned at present. I am short and at 72, the reach to the running boards is a "stretch" right now.
I went from a Mini Cooper to a Ram 1500. Got tired of parking and buying gas. Came into some money and pulled the trigger. Only thing I miss about the Ram is that Hemi and the power when I pulled the trigger.
