How much weight can you put on top of that bed topper? I've seen some rigs tipped on about a 45° angle where a topper would have crumbled under the weight of a roof top tent.
I would just make sure that I told as many Jeep owners on as many forums, review sites, and social media groups as possible. I've actually heard that Fishbone outsources their manufacturing to China. Whether or not this is true, it may not even matter. I looked at a couple used Fishbone racks...
Problems like this will happen. The thing that matters is how the manufacturer responds when it does. It sounds like @fishbone doesn't care and isn't doing anything.
I changed my oil with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w20, and I did my first five tire rotation today. 4500 miles on the truck. It was interesting to watch the TPMS figure things out. I put the spare on the front passenger, moved the front passenger to the rear passenger, moved the rear passenger to...
I definitely hated spending an extra $1000 on my spare (plus $300 for the Clayton Offroad track bar), but since I did, I will be doing a five-tire rotation.
Have you seen the companies that put a bright yellow spare wheel on their vehicles? I think they want to deter the owner from leaving that sucker on there. This is a Lexus spare.
It seals up pretty good. I'm not sure if the foam tape across the bottom of the rear door was added by a previous owner. A little water gets in around the sides of the door, but dust is definitely a bigger problem than water. I've only been offroad once, and I just sprayed it all out with a...
That sucks. They seem really gung-ho to sell their stuff, but it's sad they don't get as excited about fulfilling the orders. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their Halo racks that mount on top of the cab and bed rack, but there is no way I'm spending $2k on a roof rack.
I bought mine used from a guy who bought it used. Consequently, I paid less than a grand for it. It's weather sealed as long as you apply foam tape to the panels and rubber washers to the bolts when you assemble it.
Yeah, they call it the XCAP. It consists of thick aluminum panels that bolt to the bed rack to make a bed cap. Bed Rack Enclosure - REBEL OFF ROAD . If you don't already have the Xplore bed rack, it ends up being about $3200.
Nice write-up! I can feel the excitement of each step. Reading this makes me think back to my milestones. At what mileage is the dealer willing to do the Jeep Wave oil changes? I have two of them, and I don't want to lose them.
Yeah, how much more would it really cost them to put a matching spare on the JT? I mean, it's already the same tire. How much price difference can there be between that steel wheel and the other four?
Why not build the hardware into the vehicle to reset and calibrate the system? I just want to know if I am going to have trouble with my TPMS when I go to do a tire rotation this weekend.
Discount Tire is great, as long as all you need is tires, and everything goes smoothly. The problem with Discount Tire is that they hire a lot of kids who have very little experience. They don't do alignments. They have very little technical experience. When you run into a problem like this...
I have plans to replace the brake lines with braided SS lines, then I will flush and bleed. I just hate to do it now, when I only have 4300 miles on the truck.
