More thoughts about deals…. Have you ever thought about the retail marketing gimmick of buy more and save more? When they “mark down” or apply “savings” to an item they trick people into thinking they saved money. The compound that by sometimes doing things like buy $100 and save 15%, buy 200...

The dealerships still make money. I think it’s like Black Friday. They put a $100 price tags on a $50 item, and on Black Friday it’s “on sale” for $60. I have no idea what the retail markup is on vehicles, but they aren’t losing money.

I put them in the bed if I am in town. I leave them at camp if I’m up in the mountains and hope it doesn’t rain. I always have a tarp on hand and figure in a pinch I could park and throw that over the top.
