I recently took a trip up to the PNW for a family visit. It was a lot colder up there and my tire pressures (Toyo ATIII 285/75R17) dropped to 29 deg F.
Of course the Low Tire Pressure warning emoji on the dash lit up. It didn't go off until we returned to our warmer climate here in Arizona and...
Actually, my new parts are being shipped via FedEx. That means when they get to the Phoenix distribution center they will get lost for a day or two. The delivery is due tomorrow, but I probably won't see them until sometime Wednesday.
Anyway, I've got a new pair of Core 4X4 LCAs coming. One of...
Just got back last night from a road trip of approx. 3200 miles. I traveled from Apache Junction, AZ to Woodland, WA. Did a little running around up there and visited some friends & family.
I was within 30 miles of home on the trip back when a semi hauling a belly dump trailer passed me and...
Same here.
What head unit do you have, @NonHyphenated American ? Have you checked the settings in the head unit? I think you have to enable text message alerts there and in the bluetooth settings > UConnect to disable txt message alerts.
In order to adjust camber I do need adjustable ones. I have a chronic pull to the left that needs some attention and a little camber adjustment will take care of that.
I don't believe the factory ones are adjustable and that's one of my needs at the moment.
I won't be lifting the JT. I'm happy with the level kit and have plenty of articulation for my needs. I just need to replace the LCAs
I managed to slightly re-arrange the geometry of my driver's side LCA. Since the OEM units are not adjustable, I have a slight pull to the left as a result.
I hate fighting with vehicles that won't steer straight. Even so, it's my fault. I just didn't see that rock ledge ahead of me until after...
I've not had any problem on wet roads with the ATIII tires. Of course, I live in Arizona and we don't see a lot of wet roads, ya know?
But I had Toyo AT tires on other rigs up in Oregon, mostly Ram trucks, and didn't have any problems with them there, either. I just didn't drive on wet roads...
If you perform the required services, and repair / replace worn parts or damaged items, mechanically you should be fine.
The real value with an extended warranty comes when one of those expensive computers or other electronic parts fail.
It's just my opinion, based on my personal experiences...
I like the Echelon. It has a good trigger, it fits my hand well, adding the optic was a necessary tweak (old eyes) but the performance took a big step after I added the compensator, a lower rated spring and the heavier guide rod.
I am just a bit over 200 rounds on it, comped & uncomped, to date.
A new Springfield Hellcat RDP followed me home on Monday. I added the optic Wednesday and hope to get out to the range tomorrow.
This Echelon followed me home in March.
None of those mods will mess anything up. The tire size will create a bit of a speedo error but that's about it.
I put Toyo AT3 on mine, 285/75R17 and a 1.5" front leveling kit. It's nice and level, the tires are excellent in many road conditions, grip well offroad when aired down and wear very...
Too many years have gone by with my handguns stored in a bag here and a bag there or the OEM case. When I took one or two of them out to the range I'd find that some of the supplies or tools I needed were in one of the other bags or cases... at home. So, I decided to get organized.
I purchased...
There's been a new addition made to the armory here.
I recently purchased a Springfield Armory Echelon 9mm. After about 100 rounds sent downrange I added a Holosun green dot, upgraded the barrel to a threaded type and installed a Springer Precision compensator. I am very pleased with how the...
