I can tell you from firsthand experience that the factory isn't always forthcoming on updating the vehicle status. We're at their mercy just as you are. We've had vehicles delivered and their status wasn't updated to outgate until after we took delivery! I hope you all get your Gladiators quickly.
I learned how to drive on my dad's Jeepster Commando then he traded it in for a used '85 Cherokee with 47k miles, and that was my first vehicle. I drove it until it caught on fire while I was driving it in 2000.
I work at the dealership that I ordered from and know for a fact that it and 2 other customer ordered vehicles left this afternoon. We usually get deliveries the next day.
JL Wrangler grilles also fit the Gladiator. Here's one for $345 Amazon.com: JEEP WRANGLER JL Satin Black Front Grille W/Mesh Inserts NEW OEM MOPAR : Automotive
I really want the Rugged Ridge one. I almost bought it when it was 10% off the last couple days. But I think there will be situations where I need a tonneau. Or I could put a few of those 30gal or whatever size 'totes' in the back. I've been trying to find someone that has it and can tell me if...
Yeah, the grille can't be ordered along with other things like the headliner and graphics packages. There must be a supply shortage. I ordered an Altitude that comes with the black grille so they're probably saving all the ones they have for the Alititudes and Willys, and for the 2023's.
I'm in E (Framing) today. My estimated ship date is tomorrow (which isn't going to happen) and it seems like they're starting builds on or before the ship date. They should just rename that the 'estimated build date'
Yes, the 2022's will be built before the 2023's. If you're still in D status it probably depends on what you ordered since there is a supply chain problem.
I've seen posts by others in California who are also waiting for their Gladiators to be delivered and I don't understand why there's a delay with the rail shipping. I found this article from 2019 Why Railcar Constraints Continue to Impact Order-to-Delivery - Operations - Automotive Fleet...
That is so crazy. I don't understand why it's taking so long to rail ship vehicles which is probably how they go from OH to NM. Is there a shortage of rail cars? The dealership that I buy from in PA is just a few hours from Toledo so they get everything via a car hauler truck. A couple months...
I was just at the dealership checking my status which is still D1. My salesman told me that 2 people ordered 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sport S's the same day in March. The one is around $42k. It was just built last week and is waiting to be shipped. The other is $10k more and went from D1 back to D. It...
