This is good to know, however, the kit has you retain the factory springs in the rear. Just the fronts get replaced. I will be replacing the rear shocks though as the kit included 4 new shocks.
If lifting the axle, as you suggested, would the proper place be just under the differential? Also, would that compress the springs so much that the large wheels wouldn’t fit into the well? Just thinking that would be at full compression before the Jeep starts to raise up higher. Total noob with...
Finally got my 2.5" lift kit and wheels/tires. Went to start the project yesterday and jacked up the front end and put the jack stands under the frame. Once I got both the stands under the Jeep, I noticed the stock tires were barely off the ground. I can remove the tires and probably have enough...
What the heck are these two “buttons” for? They automatically depress when the hood is closed. A co-worker who had a JK said one of them will disconnect the “auto-start/stop” button so I don’t have to keep manually doing it every time I drive. If that’s the case I fully plan to disconnect it but...
Thank you everyone for commenting. I have the auto tranny and I think I’m leaning towards 35’s at this point and maybe a 2” spacer lift. A stubby front bumper is definitely on the wish list but not the near future.
Good to know. I was thinking 35’s originally but got sidetracked with 37’s and was wondering how that would work. I think the 35’s with a rubicon suspension plus maybe a slight spacer lift may be the best option from what was mentioned above.
