Vacuum leak around the power brake booster. You say it’s getting louder under load, driving into the wind, that would do it. Does the noise change if you work the brake pedal up and down? Whack off around 2 or 3 feet of an old garden hose and hold one end against your ear and use the other end...
Anything heavy you want to use chains. If you are hauling bundled or solid loads you can use lever binders, if you are hauling stuff with springs or tires or anything that can bounce around you want chain binders. Lever binders can pop loose.
On my '06 Ram I bought new, I got a good part of a year out of the original wipers. I lived in Houston and between the heat, sun and crap in the air rubber parts don't usually last long. After the OE wipers hardened up I decided to try every high dollar wiper on the market and none of them...
I've pulled a head to find stuff I've dropped. A couple of intakes. It can really fuck up a pay check. Spent a lot of time under vehicles with a long air gun blowing up through the engine compartment to dislodge shit I've dropped. I have a tractor in my back yard that I knocked a washer off of...
And I verified that it does have the tow package.Stated in the window sticker, verified through the part# on the 240 amp alternator and 850 watt fan. Then again, for what that's worth, being that it has the DC to AC inverter.
I just read the 2023 chart again and it doesn't actually give a rating for the standard tow package in the gassers, Sport, Sport S or Overland. It does give it for diesels. I have done some research and have found literature stating both figures. The errors and ommissions in Jeep's literature...
The 6000# tow rating with the tow package is for 2022 and older. The owner's manual for my 2023 Willys (Sport S) with the tow package states that the rating is 4500#. I, for one, would like to know why they lowered the rating for what is basically the same vehicle.
I've seen quite a few like that. When you have to drop the pan to change the oil, then the owner swears they had the oil changed every 3000 miles. The thing is, some of them might have actually been paying someone for 3000 mile changes and it wasn't being done. 😡
All vehic!es, GM, anyway, with airbags have a diagnostic energy reserve module (DERM) . I imagine that all cars have something simular. We!!, I don't know what the Tornados back in 1973 or so had, probably something for research and CYA in case of a lawsuit.
Vinyl sucks! It makes me sweat like a pig and is hot as hell. I had heard at an emissions class that they had moved away from vinyl because the outgassing affected the evaporative emissions testing. That made me very happy!
