A few updates to share when I can grab some better pictures but I finally did something after a lot of thought and weighing my options.
I straight piped the exhaust by removing the 2 middle mufflers, leaving the black rear one in place.
There was a pretty bad drone in the low 2000s rpm, but...
Didn't see this until now, to answer your questions.
1. I haven't any issues with rubbing the 38s on this RR stubby, plenty of clearance from my experience off road thus far, keep in mind I haven't climbed rocks per se but I've put it through some flexy situations.

I can confirm the airing down at the race track but mainly because the heat from hard braking, the tires end up with substantially increased PSI as a result.

I don’t commute (trader at home) so my driving is leisure in the city and off-road just outside of the city.
If you’re mainly on pavement, 40s would be overkill and you’ll likely have to cough up more dough for more parts to support the big jump in tire size.
You’ll be miserable...
What started as just the cab side, has now turned into the whole bed.

I left the lower section open to not give up the 2x6 slot when needed.
