All I'm saying is that there may be no difference between 1/2" and 1" or it could be drastic, we won't know. So let's install it how we each plan to and see what the results are.
The cooler cores are all the same and have a -10 ORB. Depending on which one you order determines which -10ORB to AN (8,10,12) adapter they include in the box. I'm not 100% set on using 1/2" line but will probably be the route I go. 1/2" would be as small as I would want to go. If I want to go...
.856 is 21.75mm and .055 is 1.4mm. If that's what he based your plug off of then chances are it's a M22x1.5. I'm going to order a set and see what happens. How much oil came out when you pulled the plugs out? Wanting to know how prepared I need to be.
Still waiting on the oil filter housing. My order is still "processing". Once I get it I'll have all the info. I am prepping my wife's Wrangler for it. Going to make a custom axle back muffler delete and mount the cooler where the muffler was. I wish it would ship already.
How are you guys getting your first ship date aka build date? My tracker shows scheduled for production on 6/20 but my dealer has nothing for a what the actual scheduled production date is.
I plan on testing this as well. Once I get the factory oil filter assembly I'll be able to see how, where, why the ports are running. Comparing it to photos of the 2g it appears our 3g has a coolant in and out independent of coolant coming from the block. Ideally I'd like to use the ports...
Not much info at the moment. My plan is to make this https://noecodelete.com/product/auxiliary-oil-cooler-adapter-plate/ for the 3g ecodiesel. Machining the plate shouldn't be an issue. Getting to the top bolt of the exchanger on the motor looks like it is going to be a PITA.
I live down in Maricopa. Current heat has been brutal. Getting ready to order an oil filter housing to take some measurements and have a cooler adapter plate made to replace the factory heat exchanger.
It is already on my list to see what they actually do, but Samfamaz already hooked to them. I'm just uncertain as to how much flow you can actually get from them and I think you'd stand to gain more cooling by isolating the oil/coolant from each other by removing the stock heat exchanger. Check...
Driving back from camping this weekend I was going over all the options in my head and this sounds like the best one. Options I was considering were:
1) Bypass kit like the OP did - Issue is volume, but easily reversible
2) Install a T in the oil drain plug for supply and return through the oil...
Does anyone have the part number for the factory oil filter housing or oil cooler/heat exchanger? The numbers Rockauto is giving me is for the 2.0 turbo and the Hemi. I need part 7 here...
