I noticed my brand new ~100miles ā22 JT makes this exact noise under the same circumstances listed.
I first noticed it after disconnecting/ reconnecting the battery grounds while installing the trailer brake controller.
I suspect it always did this, and I just noticed it by coincidence now.
Well, I finally figured out how to cut and paste my original effort so itās a bit easier to follow the pictures now within the body of the post.
I hope this helps somebody tackling the block heater install in the future!
I had another lookā¦. it is coming from the throttle body. While the key was on, and the noise was occurring, I unplugged as shown in the pic, and noise stopped. Plugged back in, silent, key off and then back on, constant beep/whine returns.
Jeep starts and runs fine, but donāt think the...
What is this beeping/whine sound indicate? Whines when key is on, before starting, goes away with key off.
I unhooked my ground cables per Mopar instructions for my trailer brake install. When I hooked back up, Iāve gotten this noise which I don't think was there prior.
I watched some videos, and then did the Mopar trailer brake install. It all went pretty smoothly. My truck has the trailer tow package ADH, so it was fairly straight forward.
The only problem I encountered is related to the instructions showing to first disconnect the battery ground cables...
So many level the front end to take the rake out. Then drive around with their butt dragging anytime they need to carry or tow something. This removable weight idea is more reasonable than a permanent level, and a common practice for several reasons including rake, traction, and ride.
I consider it a āJeep that is a truckā, in that it is more lacking in the truck department than it is lacking in the Jeep department. Donāt get me wrong, I totally love it, but Iām moving over from full size trucks, so this is a fairly big change. Iām at the stage of life where the objective...
Update on track bar issueā¦.
Closer inspection showed the clearance issue was due to the bushing being slightly off center. I was able to āmassageā it all into place. I checked for binding, no problems so went ahead with the install, no grinding required.
Iām the same, but was actually amazed how Ford serviced and supported my Raptor with transmission issues. It was a nice surprise. Also they preemptively added warranty for the cam phaser issues some where having with the 3.5.
Wasnāt enough to keep me Ford, but was nice to see!!
