2021 JTR, bought in April 2021... I've replaced this windshield 5x now. This last one, a few weeks ago, my insurance company forced me to pay for it all, myself.
If I had one absolute hatred of this vehicle, I'd have to say it's the windshields... I'm betting someone could drop a frozen pea on...
Kills it immediately, as far as I can tell.
I'll play around with it some more tomorrow or so, but so far, I'm quite happy with the results.
Note: pre-wired aux via the factory switches continues to work as expected.

Just wanted to add, this was the same scenario for my 2021 JTR.. made the change today, and it works fantastic.
One thing to note for folks, is that if you use remote start, it actually doesn't seem to activate this circuit, until you actually press ignition, too... So no worrying about your...
Cool.. I'll have to check that one out.
Big thing is I don't wanna kill the acc under the dash, since I have an always on camera wired that way.
But yeah, having the wireless AA ignition switched would be more optimal than the inline switch I'm currently using.

Lag isn't THAT bad, and now that you mention it.. I actually returned a pair of 11 Blacks last year, due to the fact they wouldn't record simultaneously.
I never looked too much into it, just went back to my old ones that still allow it (albeit, they've not had a firmware update since...
Go pro mounted to bumper in two locations, above the wheels, streaming to mobile app.
Same function, just not integrated as well :) (wish there was a better aftermarket option, honestly)

Aww.. that sucks :(
The one good reason to not get the factory trail cam then... (We actually didn't opt for it, ourselves, since I'd probably just stick a GoPro up there, with the mobile app running in the cab.

Wouldn't recommend adding the locks on the tabs, as those are pretty easily removed.
May want to look into something like the Bolt branded hood latch lock that codes itself your physical key.
Basically, you pull the grill off, and rivet the lock to the front end. It locks the latching...
Nope.. everything hardwired is done via the pre-wired aux switches. (Winch, exterior lights are hooked up in the engine bay. Dash cam, and wireless charger (which apparently has problems with Pixel phones) are wired in via constant and switched power, respectively. Nothing running off the...
So, trying the mod seemed to make zero difference, as the power to those ports doesn't even seem to be connected to the fuse.
As you can see in the below photos, even when the 102 fuse was gone.. still had power. Debating on taking it into the dealership and have them check the connections...
Go with the AA Wireless option, instead?
(I've been working with a wireless charging option, and ideally not having to plug ANY cable in, is the final goal.. I was on the fence about AAW vs MA1, and the MA1 won out, due to it being on sale, recently for $60... the fact that it has no...
For this setup, did you just use a pair of snips or something, and cut the blade off of one end, to keep it from making that connection? (I assume probably putting a small bit of electrical tape, too, to prevent it from ever accidentally bridging?)
Just curious how you planned on breaking that...
See, that sounds like what I would call the "PROPER" way of doing it.. aside from the whole relying on AT&T to not turn off a radio band. Did they ever do a warranty replacement of that modem/module? Being a leaf, I can't image it was that old was it?
As for the new app, good on JeepCares for...
On my 3rd replacement windshield since I bought it. The first one was a small-ish rock that happened in the AM, and it sleeted in the PM... that crack popped up quick. That was last.. Dec, I believe.. so I went from April to Dec without any issue.
The 2nd one was a rock the size of a baseball...
I would argue, when FCA is notified of the sale/transfer (God knows, they contact me 1000x a month for the mopar warranty, as soon as I buy another vehicle... they LITERALLY emailed me 6 days after buying the GC... before my insurance company had even sent me an updated insurance card, Mopar...
Ooof... PTSD from sound competitions.. couple of buddies and I rep'd JL Audio for about 8 years. Ironically, they pulled sponsorship, when they found out I actually had some Fosgate and Hifonics stuff in my car, (back when Hifonics actually was awesome) even though my car wasn't representing JL...
Just want to add to this, you don't need a specific 'Faraday' box, to achieve the results of blocking signals.
A simple metal lock box on your wall will also suffice (if you want to be technical, you want one with a metal lip that the exterior shell fits around, so there's no signal leakage)...
How about while you're under the vehicle? Or like the previous poster mentioned, while it's in the garage?
Regardless of what conditions the vehicle has to be in, no one should have control of another's vehicle, in any way/shape/form.
The MOMENT something like this was reported, the...
I'd go further, and say what if someone were working on their vehicle, under the hood, and didn't pull the battery before doing so (let's be honest, we've all done that).
Sure, it might be a bit of a stretch to assume that's going to happen, but if anything this crazy world has shown me, it's...
