Yes drill hole, pushed it in then ran the zip tie through the back of the push pin and around the harness or brake lines on driver side. Then push the pin in to secure it.
I had the push pin rivets around my shop from another project. You could take the pic to any auto supply and get a few for a few bucks. Behind both fender inserts there are a few different places you can run the zip tie around. On the passenger side is a pretty sturdy wiring loom and driver...
Back from trip of about 1700 miles from oklahoma and down to south Texas. The plastic rivet with zip tie held perfect. Lots of cross winds, high speed and 99 degree temps and they held. The JTR preformed flawlessly for me. Got average of 17.4 mpg with the factory Falkin MTs. The only issue...
My fenders liners have not gotten eaten up yet and im leaving for a 2k mile trip. Here is what I did to prevent the fender liner from blowing into the tire at 70 mph. Will see if it works until FCA says they will preemptively replace the fender liners.
Mine has the same gap. I took it apart and noticed the seal is internal and around the actual battery compartment with its own locking tabs. Where u see the gap and around the edges doesnt really seal. Seem thats the way its designed and should still be weather resistant. Go ahead and pop...
Question. Ive had my JTR since Jun 1st. Has about 900 miles on it. Its been in the mid 90's here in oklahoma. Ive only had it on the hwy (70 mph +) for trips of about 20 miles. My fender wells seem flimsy but I have not had the hungry Falkin MT issue yet. Will jeep replace them...
So it happened again. Im turning into cvs pharmacy and meet a guy pulling out in his JLR. We are like 5 feet apart as we pass each other. I wave and all he does is give me a go to hell look. Im averaging about 50/50 on getting waves versus nasty looks lol.
Get questions everywhere, mostly from guys with pickups wanting to know all about the gladiator but no luck with waves from wranglers. Mostly angry stares. I would always get happy waves in my jku and my lifted commander, but mostly angry faces when in the gladiator. So sad.
Extang trifecta 2.0 so far Im impressed with the quality and function. Seems to be the same as the mopar soft trifold with a different label and about $200 less.
Ive put about 400 miles on mine in 2 weeks. But I have a company vehicle I take home and drive during work The only other JT Ive seen is the white Rubicon thats still in the showroom of our local dealer.
Awesome! Luck man. All I have still is my order is verified. Hopefully Ill get a shipped email soon. You will have to post a pic and let me know how you like it.
Just got off phone with Richard at automotiveaccessoriesgarage. They reinstated my order. He said the GM of extang just contacted him and said they are taking orders starting tomorrow for the gladiator cover. I was given a ship date of the 19th. Same price plus $40 mail in rebate.
I checked my local dealer in shawnee ok. They checked computer and only showed 1 dealer in OK had 1 of the mopar trifold covers in stock. It was 595 plus tax. Im going to try and wait for the xtang 2.0 since its about $200 less and seems to be just as good quality wise. The search continues.
