Wow, I’m sorry to hear that. That’s the kind of luck I have. After taking a closer look, I’m 99% sure it will install with the rails. Everything looks the same. It looks like the only differences are the amount of distributed weight it can handle and gloss vs matte finish. You don’t use the...
This doesn’t exactly answer your question, but I have the MX4 with the Mooar factory rails and it mounts without issue. I did a quick search on the differences of between the G2 and MX4, but didn’t see much except the MX4 might be sturdier. I had the MX4 on my Tundra and loved it which is why I...
@Kevin_D is correct. The store closest to me advertises this. Some stores sell the SIP22 keys and have the machine to do this. Their website allows you to enter your rig and it will return store that offer this service. Prices vary.
Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sorry this happened to you and I’m glad your rig is fixed.
This thread is a prime example of what makes this forum so great.
BTW, I was super careful isolating wires and tapping into the correct colors. I could see how easy it would be to accidentally...
@Kevin_D @MrFahrenheit
Thanks guys. I just checked and can do the two fronts or two rears at the same time, or each window individually. I just can’t do all four at the same time.
When I say all four at the same time, this is based on how the fob works. I would expect the two fronts to go...
Sooo maybe mine is working as expected. I have auto roll up/down if I select an individual window.
I took a screenshot from the demo video on the 3W site where they are demoing the rear passenger side window up and this does work on mine. I was assuming it meant all 4 windows would come down or...
Hey guys, awesome write up. I got mine installed, but I’ve run into one issue.
Everything works as expected when using the key fob, but I can’t get the auto up or auto down to work from the console inside.
I powered on and off multiple times and drove around. I took everything apart, checked...
The other thing I thought about trying was to use some of that epoxy that will fuse plastics together. Because you don’t have a lot of surface area to work with, I didn’t have the balls to try it. Plus, I didn’t want to make things worse.
Yeah, the way you are describing it is exactly how it is. I did the repair you are asking about. I clipped the little balls, unfortunately it doesn’t snap into place. I ended up using 3M tape and I struggled to get it to stick. It’s not perfect, but I’m the only one who knows. If I were to do it...
Same thing happened to me. I dropped my debit card. I paid $178 for the part shipped. Anyway, if you know of a good auto body shop you trust, you could have them replace it. They will likely be less expensive then the dealer. Good luck with whatever you decide.
I don’t believe you need to. You can wrap it with electrical tape and tuck it away.
The other end runs to the negative terminal for the main battery.
I just did the Genesis upgrade so I’m going off memory.
I sympathize with your frustration, it sucks.
As others have pointed out, you have other options, many less expensive and simple to install. Check this out for $249. Simple do it yourself install and works great.

I don’t see why you couldn’t. I have the JL300 and you can replace the fuse for what ever the max amperage your accessory requires. You would just need to figure out the max amps the heated seats would draw and get a fuse for it. Good luck!
Nice work. Our 4Runner has them and I miss them from my Tundra. Even though they don’t blow super cold, it’s a nice option to have with leather seats.
