I did 37’s, 4.88 gears, added AFE intake and exhaust and I tow an airstream plus couple of hundred pounds of gear. I’ve towed before and after gears and AFE upgrades. I would say at best you loose 10% and after the upgrades I can’t tell a difference. I run premium when towing just to get some...
Really it’s not that bad at all. Hardest part was getting the harness through the rubber grommet. Everything else was straight forward. Removing the pin from the wire harness I purchased a pin remover for 15$ to make it easy. Everything else is plug and play, numbered and just plugging stuff in.
You can install this yourself in an hour or two. Not difficult at all If you take your time. There are videos posted already in this thread. I followed the videos and it was super easy. The hardest part was getting the wire harness pass the firewall on the passenger side. Take your time on the...
Made the mistake of ordering one of these for my last rig. They look the part but the quality is not there. You get what you pay for with the metal and welds. Mine was missing several bolts and nuts. I ended up making it work after several hours of fitting it all together. Had paint issues and...
Pro tip if you don’t want to sand when using 3m or other adhesives tap. Use 3m adhesion promoter wipes. They are a little pricy but worth every penny. Saves time and makes it super easy to install. Preps the surface area and makes the bond extremely strong
I don’t know about the part numbers but I can vouch for BAM, I’ve made several orders from them and have yet to be disappointed. Just be cautious that if the dealer is back ordered on an item. Bam may not indicate on their site and it could take longer to get.
16ft airstream, 3500lbs wet. I load another 200lbs in gear in the bed, plus passengers I am well within what it can handle. Drives great and tows externally well. I am using a blueox weight distribution hitch to help out sway and hitch weight.
4.88 gears with the new wheel and lift made a huge...
Thanks. No issues at all. Granted it is only a 16ft airstream. 3500lbs wet, I did re gear to 4.88’s. Very happy with the rig, I added afe exhaust and intake and it definitely helped or at least that is what I tell myself
I had this issue after installing my 2” mopar lift with 37’s freshly installed and balanced.
Week one I hit a pothole at 45 mph and got the dreaded death wobble. Immediately ordered the Steersmarts tie rod, drag link and teraflex track bar.
installed the track bar and still had the issue...
plug and play for everything. GoRecon makes two versions. One for factor standard lights and factory LED lights. What the means is that you don’t have to reprogram when upgrading from Standard lights to LED. The cam bus system can cause issues, so you have to do one of two things. Get lights...
