I scabbed up the Run/ Acc relay with pin 85 connected to an external ground and the respective accessories seem to work just fine. So I think you were spot on as far as blowing the PDC ground on the Run 1 and Run/ Acc 1 relay leg.
Sent Benny a message and now just waiting to hear back on a...
You lost me here. Check socket 85 for continuity to ground?
Makes sense.
Are RUN 1 and RUN/ ACC 1 connected? Maybe they share a common ground on circuit board?
I'll reach out to Benny to see what a new one costs and will probably pull the board at some point to see if there us any visible...
Update:
I was able to remove the battery, aux, PCM, fusebox and supporting tray giving me access to the area where the wire harness passes through the firewall. When I unwrapped the wire wrap I found that I had indeed severed a green wire with a blue tracer and knicked a few others.
I...
Might have fried my PCM working on a separate issue. Two questions:
1. Can the dealership Bench test a PCM?
2. Can I still clone my PCM if it’s not working?
Thanks for taking the time to check that out! I didn't see your message come in as I working on the jeep but eventually made it to the same idea. I did find that if I hot wire these two connections everything works. I have the ecoD so it looks like the fusebox is a little different but it seems...
Spliced wire into pink/yellow power at the back of the front window control module and all windows work with power in the rear media. I figured as much, but glad to know for sure. Now to work backwards...
This makes more sense to me than having blunted through a power or ground.
Any idea which connectors I would test at to see which wire isn't getting a signal.
Might have lost me but sounds like check the power into BCM. Thanks!
Update:
- Power windows still don't work.
- Rear media center console not working
- Passenger fire wall pass through is incredibly difficult to get to, so I haven't been able to assess the wires fully.
- I did look at the pink and yellow wire on the back of the window switch module and its...
Any chance I tripped something in the computer with a wire cross or something? I tapped into my truckbed lights to install some LEDS... I have since disconnected everything installed but windows still not working.
Thanks for taking the time to respond and sharing your experience. I saw some of your comments on similar posts. I don't have power to any of the windows, front or back.
I ended up getting a coat hanger through with the wires but had used the phillips as mentioned to create some space to get the wire through. The OEM wires are all wrapped., maybe wishful thinking but I really don't feel like I would have severed one with a phillips. I am wondering if I tripped...
So I was running a wire through the passenger side firewall to hook up to the aux wires and now my windows won't roll down.
- I haven't found any associated fuses, but I did pull the circuit breaker (?) and hot wired it to see if that was the problem but no change.
- I also disconnected the...
Hey everyone,
I have been reading all over the forums/ internet and I think I am more lost than when I when I started.
Here's the upcoming situation. My wife and I have a tripped plan to Zion for our 5 year in a couple weeks. We are going to pull our Apex Ultralight from Orange, CA to Zion, UT...
