If Sandy's doesn't work for you, I have a friend, Cole, who lives just out of Graniteville, SC, who runs a 4x4 fab shop. He was repairing a rear end in a Gladiator when I was there last week, so I know he does more than just fab work. He has a Facebook business page:

Sandy runs the front desk and is who you will probably talk to. He was a motorcycle racer, drag racer, and mud bog racer. By that I mean he drove and ran large successful teams. He is an expert on things mechanical. I don't know if he has had any work on the Gladiators. If it was me, I...
Final step of the winch install is to pre-tension the rope. I did that this morning. I was surprised to find the drum end of the rope was a heavier piece. I am very impressed with the Harbor Freight Badlands Apex winch, both the completeness of the package and the ease of operation. I love...
Sandy's 4x4 in downtown Augusta is a high quality shop. They have the capability to do any kind of work on 4x4s. The worst thing about letting them do your lift is they are always very busy. Nothing happens in one day.
Rockhard full width bumper and Apex winch. The Rockhard bumper comes with metal spacers to extend the bumper forward. The Rockhard Installation video says the 1" spacers are the ones most commonly used. I used both the 1/2" and the 1". I might not have needed both spacers if I had moved my...
Rockhard has a good video of the installation process of their bumper. I laughed watching it because the installer in the movie lifts the bumper in place easy peasy. It must have been the aluminum version. Anyway, I had my wife film me lifting the bumper in place.
Note that the bumper...
Kenman65, My Rockhard front bumper was not that heavy. Maybe the winch and the bumper are 140 pounds. Whatever they weigh, my front only went down 1/4" with the bumper and winch.
I moved my winch cable to the side of the control box this morning. I like this arrangement much better than to old one. I documented my work here:

Looks a lot more better. :)
This mod was not my idea. I am putting a Harbor Freight Apex 12,000 pound winch on my Gladiator. When I dropped the winch into place, the positive cable that comes out of the back of the control box was pressing against my grill. I was not happy with that. It was the end of a longish day...
FWIW, my Gladiator has sunk 1/4" on the suspension with the addition of the bumper and winch.
It may be a while before I mate my camper with my Gladiator. I have been towing my 2004 Wrangler for 4 years using a Ready Brute Tow Bar with a surge brake. At times I use an extension and carry my...
My first searches were fruitless. If you remember where you saw that, please share. Regardless, I'll pull the control box apart and see what it takes. Thanks for the idea!
More work on the new Gladiator. I moved the fog lights from the stock bumper to the new one. That was easy except the stock bumper had tons of fasteners I needed to remove to get the wiring harness out of the bumper. Whoever designed the stock bumper must have been getting paid by the part...
I chose a Rockhard bumper because it matches up with the way I tow my TJ. It is a more expensive bumper than most, but they sell tow brackets with it, so I do not have to have a base plate. I ordered my bumper from Rubitrux in Boone, NC. Rockhard products seem to be the same price everywhere...
I am a new Gladiator owner and a long time Wrangler TJ owner. I am not an expert, but I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express one time. Death wobble is really scary. It scars your psyche. It normally happens in the 40 -50 mph range, and you have to slow to a walking speed or stop to make it go...
Trenton, SC - near Aiken. The Gladiator is my wife's. She won't let me drive. :) I saw on page 2 where one of the members here mentioned the Smokey Mountains 500. I developed and published that route. I laid it out on a motorcycle in 2011-2012. It was first shared on ADVrider. Since...
More Black Bear movies - Black Bear isn't that hard - it's all downhill. However, there are no places for screw ups and the cost for a screw up is high. I've done most of the major pass roads in Colorado more than once. Generally, the 2nd time is much more relaxed than the first and you see...
