Ok so, I canāt give a review for Tuxmats for the Gladiator, as mine came with the factory mats and I like them so Iām just keeping those. Having said that, i do have Tuxmats in my S2000, and they are FANTASTIC. My son got them for me for Christmas. He had them in a Stinger, and now has them in...
I think of it as the opposite of being a gimmick. As long as they are quality lights, integrating them into a part that already exists and is necessary seems pretty slick. They wonāt look tacked on. I love it when people give an existing part even more functionality!
Hood glare has never been an issue for me for some reason but definitely see your point. Iād like to see them from further back but a search produced no such pics.
I really like OEM parts if theyāre made, so I went with the Mopar bracket and 5ā lights. Couldnāt be happier! Great light output and an old school, flat fender Power Wagon vibe when side-mounted. Also donāt get in way of folding down the windshield. Old PWs are another truck I have a weakness...
The road manners of the Mojave are excellent. On road, off road, itās great and Iām not a jeep fanboy by any means, but itās a solid truck and thereās nothing else like it. Iāve had plenty of Fords in my day, but no way Iād buy a modern one. Ford has deteriorated into the worst of the big three...
Son, who drives a JLUR, DIL, who drives a Shaker Scat Pack Challenger. Thatās it. They know what theyāre doing and have respect for othersā vehicles.
Aaaaand Dad gets to drive the Scat Pack in return haha
Hey brother, itās called ADHD haha! Ask me how I know. I can tell by that one picture. Youāre a Tasmanian devil in human form when it comes to getting things done, and a bull in a china shop when it comes to wrecking various body parts doing it! Gotta love it! We could literally be brothers...
Iām all for people having the freedom to mod their own property however they want. Having said that, I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would want one of these things. They just look bad. Like, really bad.
I went with the Mopar 5ā lights on the Mopar cowl brackets and am very pleased. I did this because I really like the old school look, especially the old flat fender power wagons. They had cowl lights. These lights provide a lot of additional forward lighting and also light up the front fenders...
Didnāt think id give a tinkerās damn about it. Until I had it. Totally worth it and an option I wouldnāt be without. And I live in South Carolina.
So, another perspective. One thing is you are assuming a lot. You only see the other Jeep in most cases for a short snapshot of time. In fact you may see one and never see it again. You canāt assume that bc you see it all buttoned up that itās always that way.
Another thing is that some people...
Looks pretty cool. Wish it would integrate with their chase rack. Iām looking for something like that but so far havenāt seen anything I like. The Maximus 3 is closest but a bit too bulky for my eye.
