I don't camp, never liked it. Gimme a real bed and a TV and a bathroom and no rain or bugs etc. Fuck camping. I'm an unapologetic city-slicker.
But goddamn I love seeing the ingenuity and smart use of space that you camper overland dudes do to your rigs. This is slick to me. So cool. Well done.
I'm the Houston area. I have a full set of gloss black painted fenders and liners off my JT
Also have a full set of flat plain black fenders and liners off the wife's JL.
I sold my OEM 255/75-17 BFG Mud Terrains pretty quick on Craigslist.
I admit I haven't put much effort into the other stuff yet. I need to take a bunch of pics.
I do! Front and rear gloss black JT Willys fenders.
But...I'm in Houston, Tx. Come get em. I'll give you a good price and the best BBQ you've ever had. 😀
Yeah my thinking is...people get in wrecks. And contrary to what it may seem like at a site like this, not everyone mods their Jeeps. As crazy as it seems to us, some people just buy a Jeep and leave it alone! Those people need factory OEM parts, and so do repair shops and insurance companies...
Ugh, between the wifey's JL and my JT, we're accumulating stuff over here. Bumpers, fenders, fender liners, headlights, suspension bits and pieces, rims,....
Being new to the Jeep world what do I do with all these OEM parts?
Will junkyards buy them off me in bulk?
Sell em on...
Lol yeah the "take pictures" stuff is beyond stupid. I got an email instructing me to take pics after I'd already sent it back. You sell me wrong stuff and then think I'm gonna cheat you out of it? Idiots. Eat a bag of dicks Extreme Terrain.
Unfortunately the problem for me was double-sided...
I initially bought a Rough Country 2.5" spacer kit from Extreme Terrain for my wife's Wrangler JL. It showed up fast and in a hurry and all was well. It was missing a couple of bolts but I didn't even notice till near the end of the install. That was mildly aggravating but ultimately not that...
I think maybe you have that backwards? With all due respect, correct me if I'm wrong correcting you.
Positive offset moves the mounting surface outwards towards the face of the wheel, thus tucking more of the wheel under the fenders. How would that decrease rubbing potential?
A negative offset...
I'm not sure who actually boxed/shipped it. I ordered it through Extreme Terrain but instructed to return it to Teraflex.
Both 2.5" kits came in a sealed box labeled "2.5" but the contents of both orders were for a 1.5" lift.
Update....
Well the refund finally came though. What a f'n nightmare.
In other news....something extremely cool happened related to this clusterfuck and I'll update soon.
It changes across the board. It affects the entire spectrum. Your transmission and transfer case can't pick and choose when and where the tire size/gear ratio goes from actual to effective.
