I’m having the same issue with the front Rancho skid. No way that clamp is going to work. I’ve e-mailed Rancho Tech Support and they have responded by telling me to start one side first and then the other. It doesn’t work LOL! It needs a longer U bolt. Still waiting for their response to the issue.
Here’s mine. Main radio under drivers seat. Using 67 designs mounting system. That’s a VHF/UHF ham radio. It does all kinds of things. ;) I have a Ham license.
Mopar cold air intake. Took the scalpel to the hood. ?. Turned out great. Did not remove the hood for the install. A little more difficult but certainly doable. Definitely has a deeper sucking air noise when you put your foot in it but quite like stock when cruising.
I did this for fun...
That is a 2 meter/440 antenna. 99% of the time talking on the radio without those lights on. I will try it out in a day or two when I finish my radio reinstallation. The bracket is something I found at Amazon. iJDMTOY Front Driver Near The Hood Side CB Antenna Mount Bracket Holder Compatible...
If you already have the tow package from the factory then all you need is the Mopar kit like the one I installed. It has everything you need to get it installed and working.
