  1. Overheat because of no coolant - Potential damage to ask about

So it went from OK, to hot, to oh f*ck! ? Makes sense.
  2. Overheat because of no coolant - Potential damage to ask about

Me too. Usually. Just happened to be busy and went a few fill-ups without checking because “they just serviced it.”
  3. Overheat because of no coolant - Potential damage to ask about

For sure, and that’s the advice I was looking for confirmed by a couple replies. Just want to be thorough. I even called the writer directly right when in happened and asked if OK to simply fill it back up with water I was lucky enough to have on-hand. Not letting them play the “why did you do...
  4. Overheat because of no coolant - Potential damage to ask about

Agreed, and I’ve worked my share of customer service, tech support, etc. to understand. That being said, I just want it made right. That’s what separates the good from the bad, and I’m giving them a chance to make it right. Plenty of time to have a sh*t fit and shame then by name later if they...
  5. Overheat because of no coolant - Potential damage to ask about

This is what I'm most curious about. The gauge was all over the place - way too quickly to be accurate. Half to pegged and back to half in less than a minute? No way! So was it overheating the whole time, or never actually overheated? No idea...
  6. Overheat because of no coolant - Potential damage to ask about

Don't have a temp. Was climbing a grade for about 10 miles with 4,000lb trailer at a steady 3.5-4K RPM in 3rd gear (5 south through Gorman) and no indication of trouble. Temp steady at just below half-way like it always was. After cresting the hill, it popped up to about 3/4, then back to...
  7. Overheat because of no coolant - Potential damage to ask about

I'd like your opinion here, and maybe @JeepCares can weigh-in on this if needed... Went in for my 10K service/oil change and the dealer forgot to put the cap back on my coolant reservoir. 400mi later it ran dry (while towing up a steep grade, BTW) and quickly overheated. Filled it back up with...
  8. Fenders fading already - less than a year!

No, it's not! Had a Commander for 10 years. Barely faded. Used Maguire's Back-to-Black and it worked great. Seems to hold-up through several washes too. Saw a Gladiator in a parking lot with what looked like tan Rhino Liner sprayed on the fenders the other day - didn't hate it! Kinda...
  9. Mopar/Fox Lift Hwy Ride quality opinion vs other kits - any worth swapping for?

Tried that. Just as jittery over seams, even as low as 28psi, but then corners like you're driving on marshmallows (while getting only 12mpg). Curious if anyone has tried the multi-rate springs I've seen from other manufacturers. Seems to make sense if riding empty most of the time to...
  10. Mopar/Fox Lift Hwy Ride quality opinion vs other kits - any worth swapping for?

I'm probably just spoiled by how well it rode stock on tiny all-season tires. It's tolerable, and way more fun, just trying to get it dialed-in still!
  11. Mopar/Fox Lift Hwy Ride quality opinion vs other kits - any worth swapping for?

Hey there! I know, I know, don't lift a Jeep if you care about ride quality, and I've asked this before... but, the bucking on concrete joints and jarring over potholes is pretty bad. Running 315/75 17 BFG KO2s at 34psi. Big bumps are fun and handled with ease, a little floaty when loaded...
  12. Overheating issues in my Mojave

Just considering how I've towed 5,500lbs frequently with my lifted JT on 35"s in 118 degree heat uphill and the temp gauge barely climbs above normal - my bet is on sensor like many others have replied. Try pinging @JeepCares if you need help with the dealer. They've been awesome.
  13. So this wasn't a great idea.

IKR!? Poster: "I did something dumb, don't do this!" Comments: "That's so dumb, don't do that!"
  14. So this wasn't a great idea.

So you think it's really necessary to tell someone posting why a bad idea is a bad idea needs to be told it's a bad idea? Are you from the department of redundancy department?
  15. Fenders fading already - less than a year!

Oh, she’s washed and kept clean. Trust me. ? Just find it odd that my trade-in 12yo Commander black plastics looked black as new, and my new $50K truck already has zebra stripes like an old Chevy Avalanche after 1 year.
  16. Fenders fading already - less than a year!

Not a huge concern since I’m already accessorizing fast as my wallet will allow. ? Maybe some steel fenders to match the bumpers. ?
  17. Fenders fading already - less than a year!

Anyone have luck with warranty fix on faded fenders? Less than 10K miles and year old vehicles in 2021 shouldn’t have zebra stripes already! This is so disappointing.... Hey, @JeepCares any suggestions?
  18. Air Suspension and on-board Air

Anyone try an air bag lift? Thinking I really need an on-board air compressor for tires and inflatables, and figured it would be really cool to also have a ride-adjustable suspension as well, since the air is already there. Any suggestions? Currently on Mopar 2.5” lift and 35” BFG KO2s. They...
  19. Ecodiesel Rubicon Fox Shocks Insufficient

Fast, like it barely compresses unless it’s a big bump, then it rebounds quick too but no floating or wallowing, just “boing!” Feel every crack in the road. On the bright side, I can hit speed humps at 45mph. Kinda fun like it’s built for big bumps now, but very harsh on the highway. Dealer just...
  20. Anyone running bigger tires without the calibration done? Experience?

Yeah, seems like factory calib is all over the place. Mine was at 29 something. I actually had a problem/annoyance towing after calibrated for 35s, held gears all the way to redline even at half throttle when accelerating. Completely unnecessary unless you’re at WOT. Calibrated up to 36...
