A 3/4 ton Gladiator would require moving to a different platform (front and rear). Can't just bolt the back half of an HD onto a Wrangler and calling it a day.
Given the hard points in the chassis/firewall of the HD Ram platform, I doubt it could even be styled to look like a Jeep. Or at least...
I ran no-name LED replacements in the halogen housings on my DT Ram 1500. I tried a few sets since most were insanely bright on low-beam until I found a "low lumen" set. Most had just a fair pattern for smooth/even light but were usable.
The brights on the other hand were flamethrowers :)
We have a JL Rubicon and a JT Mojave. I think the JT rides a bit better, but it isn't like going from a sports car to an air-ride couchmobile. Unless driving back-to-back, it's unlikely any difference would be noticed.
What do you mean by "tire hop"? Does it occur in specific situations?
My reference point is wheel hop under hard acceleration from a stop.
My first guess are shocks or suspension bushings allowing deflection. On a Jeep, tires are the last thing I would think about - assuming they are correctly...
I took a hard look at the GMC Canyon AT4X (incl the AEV version) as well as the new Tacoma TRD Off Road, before ultimately going with a Gladiator Mojave.
I chose the Gladiator because it's unique with real off-road capability baked in from the start, and the strong Jeep community. It also has...
I'm hoping with CAFE, etc going away something like a 5.7 Hemi Gladiator would be a regular production model. I could see it limited to Sport Max Tow, Rubicon, and Mojave.
If Jeep was smart (a big if), the 5.7 would be an option on those trims for less than $5k. Similar to an optional engine...
Honda makes electrical tape with capsaicin (make be other brands available too). It has dead mice printed on it. Crazy expensive but supposedly effective.
After a lot of reading, I decided to go with the Lomax folding hard cover. Partly because of the positive reviews and my past experience with purchasing an Adarac from Agricover.
I chose the diamond plate finished in a tough-looking bedliner coating. The diamond plate was a no-brainer since it...
Looked at 2024+ JL/JT specific phone mounts, but wanted something more subtle. Found this MagSafe adhesive mount on Amazon for less than $10.
Placed it on the angled edge next to the speedometer after some test fitting to get a height with good visibility without sticking too far up. So far I’m...
I’ll add that so far the vast majority of 2025s near me are lower trims (lots of Nighthawks) or lightly optioned Mojave/Rubicons.
I was surprised to see while the base price is lower for 2025 and automatic is standard, most packages and options increased in price.
Agree it's getting down to the picked over Mojave/Rubicon inventory at this point. I found mine at a rural dealer which likely helped it not being snatched up already.
I assume 20% must be imminent on the remaining 2024 Sport/Willys models? I was surprised how many new 2023s are still out there...
I just brought home a new 2024 Mojave (non X) stickered at a bit over $66k for $43.5k (not including fees & TTL). It had been in their inventory for 10 months. I lost 4 hours out of my life and almost walked out, but I held firm and got to a number I was happy with - 20% Jeep discount plus 14%...
