Yeah thinking about the pentastar engine, the powerband is not ideal for a manual.
I really wanted a manual, but 4000 - 4500 lbs towing is less than my 99 S10 ZR2.
The 8 speed is pretty good imo.
I pull up to the line... I live in the city and don't crowd the crosswalk.
If im like 3 cars back I may be able to see the stoplight..
Side note, this is not an issue at all in my GTI, which is a fantastic car for tall people.
This was my decision, I live in the city, a full size truck will not fit through my gate.
The zr2 was almost 20K less for me, however I could not get excited about a colorado, which i think only looks good in ZR2 trim.
I could not accept how bad the chevrolet generic interior is.
Also... its...
The roll bars are not comparable to a CJ, they are not really an issue bumping your head anywhere but maybe on the left or right side if you are tall.
They have plastic trim panels along the passenger facing side.
There are different engine calibrations for auto and manual, probably wouldn't work very well to swap unless you swap powertrain control module to manual as well.
Thanks!
Well the first couple days I parked it outside the garage like this so I could walk to the window and stare at it.
My only "issue" is that I have to step up a bit to get into it... Im 6'4" was not expecting that.
It drives nicer then the JL's that I have driven.
