update, I just received a phone call from Chris at MetalCloak. He stated this 2" BS (backspacing) note was more directed to the JL Jeeps. He stated with the Gladiators having a slightly wider axle, I might be able to squeak by with my factory rims..... guess I just need to wait and see.

Just finished ordering the MetalCloak 2.5" GC lift kit, plus steering stabilizer.
And, just now ordered the TeraFlex High-Angle Rzeppa kit for the front drive shaft. Sure, the 2.5" kit may not require it, but this is cheap insurance for long lasting CV bearings.
