Tires are all in good condition, no issues there.
Will switch the front wheels over today see if the noise changes, haven't put it into 4wd will try that too.
Cheers everyone.
Right hand drive model, get to about 60 k's and there's a constant thunk thunk thunk noise with the rotation of the wheel from the front left.
Had wheel checked and re-balanced, still same noise. No vibration or shakes of jeep or through steering wheel.
Any ideas?
Cheers.
Amazingly its nothing to do with shipping/scratching etc... They are a requirement in Australia to protect anyone who you might hit in your huge brick of a vehicle from getting hurt on the hooks :headbang:
I got home from the dealer and chucked them, and the plastic crap between the front...
The steering column lock module decided it didn't want to work anymore, basically locked the steering wheel dead straight and prevented me from even starting the jeep.
Kept getting "service vehicle security system" message and the steering wheel would lock in place for a bit then it would start but it was taking longer and longer then as I was leaving work it totally locked up and wouldn't start.
Diagnosed as steering column lock module which they are now...
Cheers mate, yeah its a shame the ratings aren't that bit higher, would expand the market significantly.
Does everything I want though and its a blast to drive so I'm grinning every time I hop in it.
