This is all interesting. I installed my Mopar lift last week and my Rancho adjustable track bar arrived yesterday. It will be interesting to see if there are any squeaks. The Rancho bar definitely is not as stout as Yeti or Synergy as you guys have but feels a lot heavier than stock. I'm...
^great points. I just did the Mopar lift as well and my adjustable track bar arrived yesterday (still have to put on after work today). I went Mopar because its Mopar and I fully knew I would be adding parts here and there. As beefcake mentioned, adjustable LCAs, UCAs, or relocation brackets...
It seems it all depends on what you plan on doing. If you are going to be crawling over rocks maybe a more inclusive kit is better for you. In my case I do mostly dirt roads with some crawling but nothing major like some of these guys so the Mopar kit was my decision. The shocks for lack of a...
Looks good, I like it! The fenders I like a lot. I'm tempted to do slim fenders on my gator as well but I have the painted fenders so I'm torn a little from taking them off.......
I can visually tell mine shifted after the Mopar lift so I am looking at the Core 4x4 T3 adjustable track bar then I will mess with the drag link to then recenter the steering wheel.
You are talking about two different things, lifting and leveling. I just installed the Mopar 2" on mine and absolutely love the look but it definitely still has the rake. Matter of fact, after doing my bumper and winch I think the lift amplified the rake with that weight pulling it down. I will...
This I would definitely have to agree with. Given what one loses from the Rubi to move to the Mojave I don't know why one would lift it and lose the shocks which is honestly the selling point of this trim. I guess there is always shock extenders but IMO those are not my thing.
^exactly, I had read this on multiple sites. The bushings need to have the vehicle weight on them prior to torquing so they do not bind and try to pull other components out of alignment and prematurely fail. I installed my Mopar kit his week and have zero issues with driving. I actually see...
^agreed, the $200 price tag is ridiculous. I might be replacing my right rear fender and will definitely be buying aftermarket and cutting to fit, no way in hell am I paying that much for a piece of clear vinyl!
There are a lot of topics on the steering issues, all various issues people are experiencing from small to large dead zones, gear box flexing, wandering, etc. A steering stabilizer does not fix those issue but masks the real underlying issue. I upgraded mine to a Fox and it did nothing for my...
Mine has a decent dead zone as well. Can definitely feel it when it's windy. I did upgrade to the Fox stabilizer but the stab just masks the issue, doesn't actually fix anything. There are youtube vids showing the steering box flexing on some JTs. I would turn your wheel back and forth and see...
That's too funny. I knew my giant Note 10+ wouldn't fit in there so I knew it wasn't for any modern day cell phone lol. Yet, I still rarely use it for my fob unless I am moving it in and out of the garage to work on it.
Just finished mine yesterday. The biggest PITA is the LCA bolts both on and off. These killed my cheapo electric impact so I had to go spend another $200 for a better one and even them some of them are hard to access. I've done lifts on torsion bar and IFS trucks of mine in the past. Granted...
damn, lots of great pointers, thanks everyone! This is my first jeep and first solid axle in front and rear vehicle. I am used to IFS and torsion bar systems. So the rear it looks like will be good since I loosened everything. I will I guess loosen everything on the front and retorque which I...
