Depends on what part of the State you're looking at? Central Mountains with trails like Red Cone, Wheeler Lake, Tin Cup, Hancock, etc. Usually will be accessible before Holy Cross, Mosquito are. Down in the San Juan's, Engineer and Cinnamon open before Black Bear and Imogene do. FYI, the...
Unless you have a reason for wanting steel, I'd look at aluminum so you're not hitting your bumps tops all the time. Rock Hard mid-width aluminum only weighs 34lbs and includes a better skid plate for your remote shock reservoirs #rockhard4x4
I went with Rock Hard mid-width aluminum in the front and their rear aluminum as well. I run a Warn Zeon10 winch with non-issue at all and all Rock Hard products are made in Nebraska, USA ?
I got mine from Rokblokz and they come off with two thumb screws when I need them too. They have cut outs for the rock sliders on my Mojave. Also added the Mopar flare extentions.
Yes, exactly. Not sure where you live, here in Colorado I always recommend 5.38:1 if running 40" tires due to the altitude. At sea level or flat lands 4.88 or 5.13 may work depending on transmission 8 speed automatic vs 6 speed manual
40's is a big first step, I agree drive it stock and make sure everything works first. Next you need to regear your axles along with a lift as it isn't just tire size, but all that extra weight. RCV axle shafts are stronger than stock and may help with keeping water out of your axles. Lastly, if...
Have you driven both? The Mojave suspension isn't just for the desert, it provides a much nicer ride on the street too. The seats are also better and you get the reinforced frame. I know they made some changes in '24 to the Willys package, so not sure if it includes the heavy duty and wider Dana...
My '21 Mojave came with OnX and I gave it a try, but I had already been using Trails Offroad so I didn't see an advantage to paying for a second app. Now Trails Offroad is compatible with Jeeps UConnect/Navy system which is cool. Here in Colorado I also use COTrex which is a free app from...
I have the AEV Mojave spacer lift with the correction brackets and now running 35" tires and still the OEM steering stabilizer with zero issues. I didn't do the install, Predator 4-Wheel Drive did and the alignment was spot on and needed no corrections.
Curious, you mention one tire being 33"x18" and the other being 37"x17"...if correct you're also changing the size of the wheel which also can effect your unsprung weight.
