Yup. Summit is great. You'll have that in no time! ;)
Keep us posted on how things work out with your injury and how State Farm handles it. I hope you don't have any long-term issues.
With a family member in the insurance game for over 40 years, it has been mentioned to me that the repairs to a vehicle after an accident need to exceed 70% of the value of the vehicle (determined by the insurance company) to be considered a total loss.
Although it was never mentioned what year...
From the OP:
"As I said earlier, I've got a picture from 3 weeks ago that I'm pretty sure shows the piece as black, but it's from an almost straight on angle, so it's hard to tell. The stubby I put on like 18 months ago. I do handwash it when I wash it, but I've been a little lax this fall. And...
In the trade, we always used seal caulking strips when tracking down wind noises. Seals well, easy to work with, looks good (when properly done) and can be removed if needed.

Here we go again!
Us humans will need to be re-programmed to operate the vehicles of the future.
Or maybe not, as we take a nap while being chauffeured around without a driver. Now that takes all the fun out of it. :(
I am confused with all this $40-$60k JT conversation. Isn't it now $50-$70k?
If all expensive vehicles were trouble free, Bentley dealers wouldn't need technicians.
Added this to mine as well. Piece of cake. As @ShadowsPapa pointed out, if it doesn't slide out smoothly from the frame rails, you had better have a body shop inspect.
